Ho Ho Ho--TTS40

April 17, 2015

I made a promise to myself that I would make a Christmas card every week.  Well, that hasn't happened lately.  But, this week with so much rain, I have more time to play in my craft room.  I thought the sketch was so much fun at
Tis The Season so I looked through my Christmas stash and decided to make a card!

The "North Pole" clear stamp set by Avery Elle is one of my favorite Christmas stamps.  I am a huge Santa fan.  I like this set because it has 3 different hats for Santa to wear.  I love the Ho, Ho, Ho one, but believe it or not, I lost it at Christmas time when I was making cards.  I was so sad!  I dug through the garbage looking for it and turned my craft room upside down.  It was just gone. --- I gave up and figured I would have to buy another set to replace that hat stamp.  Well, the other day, I pulled out a few items that I never use and there was the hat die stuck to the back of a package.  YIPPEE!  I was so excited!  Don't you just love it when something like that happens?  It really is the little things!  LOL!

After stamping my Santa, I colored him with Copic Markers and added some Wink of Stella for shine.  I used Marvy Snow Marker on his fur to give it some dimension.  I just think it is amazing how they created that fantastic embellishment.  I found the yellow and black star papers in my stash of papers. I am not sure where they came from.  Sorry!  This was a very easy card to make, but I think it shouts out Merry Christmas even if the colors are non-traditional!

I lined an envelope with the matching papers.  I think it adds a fantastic finish to any card.

So thankful you stopped by my blog today.  Please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts.  It means so much to me to hear from you!

Have a FANTASTIC FRIDAY!

Happy Stampin'
Claire

  2. Claire, your card is so fun! Love that Ho, ho, ho hat and so glad you found it! I've lost a few things too only to find them stuck to something else or hidden under something I had set aside. So frustrating...until it pops up again! :) Thanks for sharing with us at 'Tis the Season.

  5. Sorry for the delayed comment, but this is very cute! Nice work (I have to put all my dies away immediately because my cat thinks I left them out for her to play with and then they disappear so I totally understand how excited you were in finding something you love).
