Sending Love Your Way--Lawnscaping Challenge No.98

January 24, 2015

My card today is for the Lawnscaping Challenge.  It is my first time to enter their challenge and I am so excited.  I love Lawn Fawn products and now that I have purchased a few of their wonderful products, I can play along.

The challenge is to create your own background with your stamps.  I had so much fun with this technique. First, I created my own distressed ink/watercolored paper.  I added several different inks together and then splashed a few drops of water on it to give it a "bokeh" look.  Then I stamped the post office seal in Primrose Petals ink (retired) and heat embossed it in clear embossing powder.  Then I went back and stamped the canceled mail stamp in Versa Mark and heat embossed it in black.  It gave such a cool shine to my paper!  I love it!  Something new for me.  I am a paper hoarder, but I really like making my own backgrounds now.  Maybe that will help curb my need to purchase soooo much paper.  LOL! Now, I can buy more stamps!!!!

I wanted you to see the background paper a little closer, so hope this reflects all the details.  I also added Glossy Accents to all the little hearts on the envelopes and sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.  Please leave a comment if you can, I love to hear your thoughts!

You can email me at: Claire if you have any questions.

The products I used will be listed below.

Happy Stampin!
Claire
