Ho Ho Ho--Merry Monday #131 and TTS28

 I had some extra time today, so I played in my craft room!  I love days like that!

 I found two challenges that go together this week, so I decided to make a fun card for both of them.  The Merry Monday Christmas Challenge and the Tis The Season Christmas Card Challenge both called for non-traditional Christmas colors.  I decided to use the colors that Tis the Season required.  Pool Party, So Saffron and Pink Pirouette and certainly not the normal colors, but oh, did I have a good time making this card!  I hope you enjoy it and you smile when you see my Santa!  


The first thing I did was cut a piece of Pool Party (5 3/8 X 4 1/8) and used the star stencil and embossing paste to make the background for my card.  It has to dry for awhile, so I worked on the Santa while this part dried.
 The Santa was stamped on Whisper White with Pink Pirouette ink.  I took my aqua painter and colored in his suit to match his boots and mittens.  I used a Marvy Snow Marker pen on his fur.  It has to be heat set with a heat gun.  I watercolored the bag in Pool Party and used So Saffron on the stars.  

I cut 3-3/4" strips of paper in the Subtle Pink Pirouette Designer Series Paper and adhered them to the Pool Party base.  I cut a circle and embossed it with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder.  I used Stampin' Dimensionals on the Santa and his hat and adhered them to the So Saffron Circle.  Rhinestones were added to the bag and star on his hat.  The base card is So Saffron (5 1/2" X 4 1/4") and I adhered the finished top layer on the base last.
