Thanks A Latte-Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

March 18, 2016

WHOOP WHOOP!  It's time for the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!!

I am a coffee lover, so I am thrilled to participate in this fabulous blog hop!  The amazingly talented Amy Tsuruta makes this all happen!  A huge thank you, Amy for all you do!

The spring hop will go through March 25th.  There are lots of prizes up for grabs, for both commenters and bloggers.  Anyone can join in the fun by linking up their card to the blog hop, using the linky found HERE on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog.

My card features the Caffine Addict stamp set by SugarPea Designs!  I am a HUGE SugarPea fan and I love every detail of this marvelous set!  The Coffee To Go SugarCuts make it easy to cut out each piece!  Coffee Words SugarCuts are used to cut the coffee breams.  The Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle Dies  were used to cut the background for my card.  Spring papers and polka dots make me smile!

THANKS A LATTE for stopping by my blog today!  SO happy you are here.  Please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts!

Let's Celebrate! PPA 292

March 17, 2016

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all of you!  Irish or Not, it is always fun to celebrate!

I finally had a chance to play along with a challenge today!  My card is for the Pals Paper Arts Challenge.  I just loved Beth's sketch this week and it was perfect for a card I wanted to make for a very dear friend that is turning 70 this week.  We are flying to Chicago tomorrow for her surprise party!  It will be so much fun!  Can't wait to see the look on her face!

My card is created using a Melon Mambo base.  The next layer is Whisper White.  The pink and gold foil is from my stash.  I used gold foil for my strip across the center and a white and gold banner was cut using an My Favorite Things --FIshtail Flags die.  The large peony is from The Ton Stamps stamps.  I stamped it on watercolor paper with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder.  I watercolored the peony with Peerless watercolors.  I stamped the leaves on watercolor paper, heat embossed them in gold powder and colored them with Zig markers.  The sentiment is from SSS-Birthday Bits stamp set.  It is stamped in Versa Mark and heat embossed in gold, too.  I added some Wink of Stella on the peony for extra shine!

SO happy you stopped by my blog today!  I hope you will leave a comment and let me know your thoughts!  I love to hear from you!

May the Luck of the Irish Be With You!

Rain or Shine-Your'e A Friend of Mine--SPDSS45

March 16, 2016

It's time for a new sketch challenge at SugarPea Designs Challenge Team Sketch!

You have all month to play along with us! You are welcome to play along with all the sketches or just one but remember the more times you play along during the month, the better chance you have of winning a $75 gift certificate to our store!!!

The rules are very simple…
  • Create a new card or project using the sketch provided.
  • SugarPea Designs stamps are NOT required to play along or to win but would be appreciated :)
  • You may rotate/flip the sketch & replace shapes – so long as the original sketch layout is recognizable.
  • Upload to your blog or other Online Gallery using Keyword: SPDSS45  so that we may check out your beautiful work.
  • Add your name and link to your project in the InLinkz shown below.
  • One randomly selected winner will receive a $25 Gift Certificate to the SugarPea Designs store. However, if the winning entry features a SugarPea Designs stamp we will increase the prize to $75!
  • We will announce our Sweet Picks and our Main Winner at the end of each month.
  • The more times you play along during the month, the better chance you have of winning!

My card is created using the adorable Hello Sunshine stamp set by SugarPea Designs.  I stamped the image on Neenah Solar white card stock and colored it with a variety of Copic Markers.  I added the darling little duck from the set.  I also stamped the image on the plaid paper and snipped the umbrella to paper piece it on the main image.  The large plaid background was created with the Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle Dies.  The sentiment is stamped in black Versa Fine ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  White Baker's Twine is wrapped around the card and a big yellow button was added for fun!  Yellow enamel dots were added and lots of Wink of Stella for shine.  This card makes me happy!  I hope you smile, too!

Need a little inspiration?  Check out what the design team has for you!
