I had a few extra minutes, so I decided to watch a few YouTube videos to learn something new today. I have seen so many spinner cards on Pinterest and wanted to make one. I found Linda Gutierrez's Video very helpful. Spinner cards are so much fun and I know my little granddaughters would love to receive one in the mail.
I wasn't sure what stamp to use, so I decided to go with the cute little elephant in the You're Amazing Stamp Set. It will be retired in a few weeks, but I will keep it around. I really like this set. Tara's Challenge at the Friday Mashup called for "Stripes" and "Moveable Parts." I had so much fun making this card. It doesn't leave a lot of room for ribbons, bows or much bling because you need room for the elephant to flip. I will be on the look out for more stamps that will be work for the spinner.
This little Elephant loves to spin around when you shake the card! :)))

Get Well CCMC305and cQc #243
May 30, 2014
Well, here we are at the end of another month! I just don't know how the year could be flying by so quickly! WOW! I wish I could slow down time! I worked most of the day organizing my craft room! I am the world's worst at cleaning my desk top after creating a card. I just keep piling up the paper. Anyone that knew me when I was teaching, knows how my desk ALWAYS looked! Well, after 3 hours of sorting paper and filing it back where is belongs this is what I came up with!
This is "AS CLEAN AS IT GETS!"
I think this will last about one day, but my new goal is to try to keep it more organized!
Today's card is designed around the sketch from Create With Connie and Mary.
I used the colors from the Colour Q Color Challenge. Both challenges provides some awesome examples from the Design Teams. Stop by their blogs and check out the beautiful cards!
I made this card for a dear friend's Mama that fell this week. She is 85 years old and loves purple. I know she will smile when she gets this card.

You Can Never --FMS 138 and CMCC No22
May 28, 2014
I am going to post my other card for today. It was so noisy around my house with the power washing, I wanted to run away! LOL! Thank goodness, that is done!
The Colour Me Color Challenge requires fabulous colors this week. I love Cajun Craze! I don't think it is a very popular color except in the Fall, but I had fun incorporating it into my card today. Jen's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches is perfect! It is simple, but allows for so much creativity. I hope you enjoy my card. It might look a little like, Fall, but when it is 92 degrees, Fall is always a nice thought! ENJOY!
Stampin' Up! Products:
Paper: Baked Brown Sugar, Wild Wasabi, Cajun Craze Core'dinations, Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla
Ink: Cajun Craze
Stamp Set: Yippee Skippee, Gorgeous Grunge
Tools: Stampin' Trimmer, Snail Adhesive, Big Shot Cutting Machine, Woodgrain Embossing Folder, Envelope Liner Framelit, Corner Rounder, Bird Punch, Boho Blossom Punch, Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals, Decorative Label Punch, Oval Punch, Sand Block, Paper Snips
Embellishments: Burlap Ribbon, Linen Thread, Black Buttons

May 28, 2014
It has been a gorgeous day in Georgia! The men arrived to power wash our home today---NOISY does not begin to express the sounds I have heard all day. Somehow, I was able to get a couple cards made even though it was very difficult to think. I am thankful to have this done, though. Now, on to the painting! Always something to do when you own a home!
The Paper Craft Crew sketch looked like fun, so I decided to pair it with The Fab Friday Color Challenge. The Design Teams had fabulous samples. Stop by their blogs to get inspired!

Lovely As A Tree CCMC304 and FM161
May 27, 2014
I hope everyone had a fabulous Memorial Day weekend! I took a few days off from my blog and card making. We had 12 here for part of the weekend, and we had a wonderful time. Lots of fun with the GRANDS and also the big kids!
Today I wanted to make a card for The Friday Mashup Challenge and the Create With Connie And Mary Color Challenge. The Soft Sky, Basic Gray and Sahara Sand were the perfect colors for the card I wanted to create. The Friday Mashup called for embossing and the use of a tree. I loved seeing all the beautiful Father's Day cards. I lost my Daddy two years ago and the pain is still so strong. The Lovely As A Tree Stamp Set is one of my all time favorites and I know my Daddy would love this old tree. The stamp set is so beautiful and can be used for so many occasions. I hope you enjoy my card!

Today is a BIG day for us. We are off to Atlanta to watch Miss Addison graduate from Pre-K! I am not sure how she grew up this quickly, but it happened.
We are having a lot of family in for the holiday weekend, so I am not sure I will be in my craft room for a few days. I wanted to make a card for the Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge. I love this sketch! It is perfect for any type of card and comes together quickly if you need a card for a certain occasion. The Design Team rocked the challenge this week with all their amazing cards! Although, I must admit it made me sad looking at some of the Father's Day cards. I lost my Daddy two years ago and I miss him so much!!!!
I used the Sweet Sorbet paper for my card today. I made this card for a special friend that is retiring after many years of teaching! She deserves to be toasted! I hope you enjoy my card today!

Spoil Yourself Today! CMCC No21-Techno Stamper
May 22, 2014
It has been a perfect day! I got to play tennis this morning and then I finally met my neighbor and found out she LOVES Stampin' Up! and used to be a demonstrator in Florida! I call those God moments when something so fabulous happens to you. We are so busy sometimes that we never stop to recognize the blessings all around us!
The colors for the Colour Me Color Challenge are very subtle this week. Soft Sky, Primrose Petals and Early Expresso make a beautiful soft palette. The TechnoStamper (Try Stamping On Tuesday) sketch challenge was perfect for my card today. I really like the You're Amazing Stamp Set and it is on the retired list for this year. I have never used the hot air balloons and decided it was a good time to show them some love. I created my background paper with watercolor paper and sponged Soft Sky to create the cloudy look. I hope you enjoy my card today!
