Happy New Year! FM 190

It is very difficult to believe that the year is ending tomorrow.  I have not been able to craft or blog for two weeks.  I have missed it so much, but I am thankful for time that I have been able to spend with my family.  I have had my Mother with me for ten days.  She is 86 and I am very thankful to be able to spend precious time with her.  I also entertained my sister, brother in law, our children and GRANDS, too.  I am currently babysitting three of our GRANDS.  5, 2 and 5 months is a lot of fun and makes for a VERY busy Grammy!  I am so tired!  I am not sure I will know how to deal with a quiet house after tomorrow.

I want to wish Tara and Hayley a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS and HAPPY FIRST ANNIVERSARY at Colour Me...!  I have LOVED being part of their team the past six months!  

My first card after this long break is for This week's Mashup Challenge is:

• Create a project using the "Sketch". 
• Create a "2 Layer card with a grungy element in the background". 
• or Mash it Up! and create a project "using the sketch that's 2 layers only"

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you the Happiest New Year!

I added Wink of Stella to the snowflakes and Glossy Accents to the snowmen to make them shiny, but the picture does not show the fun shine!  Sorry!

Thinking Of You At Christmas! --CMCC No51

It's Wednesday and time for the LAST challenge of the year at Colour Me...!

The challenge is "Playful!"  Baked Brown Sugar, Always Artichoke, Real Red and a Neutral are the colors this week!  

This challenge will last 2 weeks, so you have plenty of time to join us! 

 Each week we will have a creative colour challenge for you to get crafty and show us your best greeting cards, 3D projects, scrapbooking, digital or traditional paper crafts, costumes, etc. Only the colours we indicate may be used for your project. Neutrals such as black, gray, white, vanilla, skin colours and kraft are also welcome. 

I want to take this opportunity to THANK Hayley and Tara for this wonderful opportunity to be a member of their Design Team!  I have LOVED every minute of it and I am sad my six months is over.  You have been so much fun to work with and the whole Design Team is fabulous!   I will be forever grateful!!

My card makes me smile!  I love this little reindeer.  I bought this stamp a few years ago and never used it.  I am so happy that I found it in my stash!  ENJOY!!

This is the first time that I have used Flower Soft on a card.  I absolutely adore the texture it adds to the card!

HAPPY NEW YEAR-Shaker-FMS 189

I have had so many things going on.  I know we all do at this time of the year.  Besides the usual Christmas tasks, shopping, wrapping gifts, addressing cards, attending events, etc.,etc!!!!!  I also spent all weekend babysitting three of my GRANDS and my Aunt passed away in Indiana.  I had a lot of calls with family and things to take care of at home.  It is so hard to be away from your family when you loss a loved one.  With that being said, I finally (ran away) to my craft room for a few minutes of alone time!


I wanted to make a card for The Friday Mashup.  The challenge for this week is:

• Create a project using "Basic Grey or Smoky Slate & Silver". 
• Create a project using "Dry or Heat Embossing". 
• or Mash it Up! and create a project "using the colors Silver & Grey with some Embossing"

I am so excited to use my new dies from Simon Says Stamp's.  It is a retro alarm clock, so I thought I would "SHAKE" it up and make it ring in the New Year!  I hope you enjoy my card!
