Oh, The Places You'll Go--FMS 285

April 30, 2017

Today I am playing along with the Freshly Made Sketches challenge!

Amy's sketch was perfect for the card I wanted to create.  My Little Victoria is graduating from Pre K in a few weeks, so I made this card for her.

The little girl is from SugarPea Designs Hats Off To You stamp set.  I stamped the sentiment using the same set on a banner.  I colored my graduate with Copic Markers.  I added a red frame using the Zig Zag Stitched Circle dies from SugarPea Designs.  The star paper was cut with the same dies.  A few black enamel hearts complete my card.  Wink of Stella was added for shine.

I wish time would slow down and I could keep this precious girl little a few more days.  She is such a loving, caring child.

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Mother-- I Love You!---PP #342

April 30, 2017

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

Our lovely Jaydee is the hostess this week and she has a fabulous Tic-Tac-Toe board for all of us to play along with. This is my favorite challenge.  There are always so many creative entries.  I love the variety of cards when there is a game board.  Have fun!

My card is created using the middle column.  (Sequins, Die Cut, Yellow)  I had so much fun making this card for my Mom.  I know she will love it.

My card is created using the Neat and Tangled Doily Envelope Die.  I must admit, it took me several times before I got the die cut out, but oh, was it worth the effort.  It is beautiful!

I trimmed a yellow piece of card stock with the MFT Blueprints 20 Die and then cut the top white panel using the same die set.  The roses and leaves were stamped in Memento black using the Altenew Penned Rose stamp set.  The sentiment is also from this stamp set.  I stamped the rose three times and colored it with Copic Markers.  I fussy cut layers so the rose looked dimensional.  I stamped the leaves twice for the same effect.  Wink of Stella and sparkling clear sequins were added for fun.

When I was finished I wrapped yellow twine around the envelope and added a big white button to seal the card.

Don't forget to check out the fabulous inspirations from our design team and I hope that you will play along with our challenge this week.

Kindness Matters--Sketch Saturday # 459

April 29, 2017

It's Saturday and time for a new challenge at Sketch Saturday!

This week our sponsor is LemonShortBread.  You will receive three digital stamps of your choice if you are the winner this week!  How fun is that?

I am also linking my card to the "Anything Goes" challenge at LemonShortBread.

We have a very fun twist on the challenge this week. You can pick any sketch you want from the previous challenges #215-#460.  Have fun searching through all the precious sketches for the perfect sketch for your project.

I used sketch #398 for my card.  It showcased my Fairy Flower digital stamp from LemonShortBread.

I choose this precious little girl because it reminds me of my GRANDdaughter Victoria.  She is our "quintessential hippie".  She loves nature and picks flowers every chance she gets.

I colored the fairy with Copic Markers and added lots of Wink of Stella for shine.  I also added Stickles and sequins to add more shine.  The sentiment stamped in black Memento ink.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!  Please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts.  I love to hear from you!

Happy Birthday To You!--PP #341 and SSC151

April 23, 2017

I am back from a wonderful trip to Aruba.  It was such a beautiful island.  The water was gorgeous and the time away refreshed my soul.  This was the view from our room.  Breathtaking!

It's Sunday and time for new challenges at The Paper Players and Sunday Stamps!

The lovely Sandy is our hostess this week at The Paper Players.  Her sketch is fabulous and very versatile.  So many possibilities!  Since I was gone all week, I combined this sketch with the lovely color palette at Sunday Stamps!

Please make sure to use at least 3 colors from the color for Sunday Stamps

My card is created on a white card base.  A rectangle strip of green wood grained card stock was used for the background.  I cut the green square with a stitched die.  The lily is stamped in three shades of yellow using the Altenew Layered Lily stamp set.  I used 3 shades of green ink on the leaves.  The leaves and flower were cut out using the matching dies.  I stamped the sentiment in black on a banner cut with a stitched die.  Clear enamel dots were added to resemble water droplets on the flower.

Don't forget to check out the fabulous inspirations from both design teams and I hope that you will play along with our challenges this week.

Some Bunny Loves You To Pieces --ctd437 and April Fool's Day -NBUS #11

April 6, 2017

I am playing along with the Color Throwdown and the       11th NBUS (Never-Before-Used-Schtuffchallenge sponsored by Darnell.  I love the colors in this challenge.  I am always a primary color fan.  Darnell wants us to play with "schtuff" we have never used.  The stamp set, train track and my new stencil brushes have been sitting on my table for weeks just waiting their turn to be used.  By the way, Darnell, I had to make this card twice because I had a lot of boo-boos in the first one!  LOL!  The flowers are still leaning in this one.

My card is created on a white card base.  I cut two Garden Green patches of grass using the Lawn Fawn Meadow Borders dies.  I also cut one flower border die and then cut it in yellow and red to cut out the little flowers.  On watercolor paper, I used a stencil brush to create the sun and the sky with distress inks.  I cut two clouds from Mama Elephant sky dies and distressed them in blue ink.  The little bunny is a sticker from Doodlebug Easter Express.  I cut a train track using the railroad slider die and used a penny to create the sliding train.  The little bunny can now slide up and down the track.  No wonder he has that big smile on his face!  The sentiment is heat embossed in white  "Some Bunny loves you to pieces" is from Simon Says Stamp Some Bunny stamp set.

Wild Thing I Think I Love You!--FMS282

April 6, 2017

Today I am playing along with the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge!  Cecile's sketch was just perfect for a card I wanted to make! I love square cards, too.  As Huey Lewis said, It's Hip To Be Square!"

My card is created on a white square (5 X 5) card base.  I used Bermuda Bay for the top layer.  The black frames were cut using the SSS stitched square wafer dies.  I found this piece of zoo paper in my stash and thought it was perfect for the black frames.  The zoo squares were cut with the same die set.  I just received the SSS monthly kit and this adorable lion was part of the stamp set Wild Cuddly Critters.    I colored him with Copic Markers and fussy cut him.  Wink of Stella, goggly eyes and a black enamel heart were added.  Black get pen was used on his mouth, whiskers and nose.  This card is for my GRANDson, Robert.  He is a : "WILD THING!" And, I do love him so much!  A wobbler was added to the back of the lion so that he could bounce off the card!

Two more enamel black hearts were added to complete my card.
I hope you are now singing this song and smiling!
"Wild Thing, I Think I Love You!"
