Home Is Where Your Honey Is-PP257

Aug. 9, 2015

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players !  We loved all the "Square" cards last week for Jaydee's challenge!  WOW--you made it difficult to pick the winners!

I am the hostess this week and my challenge is create a project using Bermuda Bay, Kraft/Crumb Cake and Old Olive!  I love this combo and it is so exciting to think of all the possibilities!  Have fun!!

My base card (5 1/2" X 4 1/4") is Bermuda Bay.  The next layer is Crumb Cake (5 1/4"X 4").  The next layer was cut with a rectangle stitched die with Old Olive.  I cut a scalloped banner using the MFT Blueprints 14 Die Set and I also cut a strip of Crumb Cake and embossed it with the polka dots embossing folder.  I adhered those and wrapped Bermuda Baker's Twine around it several times and added a button from my stash and a big bow.  I sat that aside while I worked on the image.

The stamp set and sentiment are from SugarPea Designs-Bee My Honey.  I colored the bears, tree, hive and bees using Copic Markers.  I fussy cut all of the pieces.  I cut a white circle with a stitched die and sponged Crumb Cake and Old Olive on the ground.  I used foam tape to adhere the bears and tree.  I also added Wink of Stella to all of the pieces for added shine.

So happy you stopped by my blog today!  Please leave a message!  I love to hear from you!
