Guide Us to Thy Perfect Light-PPA324

Oct.30, 2016

Today, I am playing along with the Pals Paper Arts Challenge for the last time.  They have decided to close their weekly challenge.  I must admit, I was very sad to read this news.  I have played along many times in the last few years, but I think the saddest part for me is that I am going to miss  the inspiration I have gained from all of their very talented team members!  This fabulous sketch is from Ginger.

My card is created on a white card base.  Night of Navy card stock was attached for the first layer.  I trimmed white card stock for the top panel to match the sketch.  I stamped the lovely sentiment in Night of Navy ink.  The stamp set, sentiment and dies from the Stampin' Up! Star of Light Bundle set.  I stamped the flourish on the panel using my Misti.  Silver embossed stars were added also stars cut in silver glimmer paper.  I used glue dots to attach these.  I used the dies to cut the large stars in silver glimmer paper and Night of Navy.  Stampin' Dimensionals were added for lift.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!  I appreciate you taking time to visit!

THANK YOU--Pals Paper Arts Team Members for all the wonderful, creative inspiration that you have provided the stamping community!  You WILL be missed!

My card is created on a white card base.  A piece of Kraft paper was trimmed with a stitched border.  I found some gold/ Kraft papers in my stash.  I cut a polka dot rectangle, a stitched circle and a fabulous gold leaf using Stampin' Up! Follow Your Dreams--FMS259

October 19, 2016

It was a beautiful day in Georgia, but I found a few minutes to sneak in my "tepee" to make a card.  I am playing along with the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.  My super talented friend Linda is the hostess this week!

I bought this stamp set a few months ago and have been waiting to ink it up.  This simple sketch was perfect to showcase this buck.  My card is created on a white card base.  The next layer is Bermuda Bay.  The top white layer is trimmed with a stitched die.  I stamped chevrons from Papertrey Ink Noted Stamp Set in Cajun Craze and Bermuda Bay on this layer.  I stamped the sentiment in Bermuda Bay.  The stag and sentiment are from Newton Nooks Adventure Awaits.  I used Crushed Curry to stamp the stag and trimmed it with an oval die.  I sponged Bermuda Bay ink on the oval shape.  Enamel dots were added to complete my card.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.  I love to hear from you, so please leave a comment if you have a minute!

Thinking Of You!--PPA322

October 17, 2016

I had a very busy weekend and wanted to play along with a few challenges.  I finally found a few minutes today to work on a card for the multi talented Susan Itell's sketch challenge at Pals Paper Arts.  My brother-in-law just had knee replacement surgery.  I wanted to send him a card to let him know we were thinking of him.  This sketch was just perfect for what I wanted to create.  Thanks, Susan!

My card is created on a white card base.  I added a piece of paper that I found in my stash and trimmed it using the SugarPea Designs Stitched Rectangle dies.  I added four strips of black paper cut in 1/2" pieces for the stripes.  A white circle was cut using the SugarPea Designs Stitched Circle Dies.  I stamped the monkey from SugarPea Designs Caring Critters Stamp Set .  I thought he looked like he was hanging in there and that is just what you do the first few weeks after knee replacement.

THANK YOU very much for stopping by my blog today!  If you have a chance please leave a comment.  I always love to hear from you!

Merry Christmas--Merry Monday #217 Sketch Saturday #433

Oct. 10, 2016

When I saw the challenge at the Merry Monday Christmas Challenge, I knew just what I wanted to do.  I love retro things, too, so this was right up my alley.

I am using the sketch from Sketch Saturday from Simon Says Stamps.  I love lots of layers, so this sketch is perfect for me!

My card is created on a white card base.  I used a variety of plaids from the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Christmas Pack.  I backed the layers with red card stock.  The retro Santa is from Tim Holtz Christmas Memories and stamped in red ink.  I also added a number #25 in the corner.  Enamel dots and Wink of Stella were added to give Santa some shine.

SO happy you stopped by my blog today!  I love to hear from you, so please leave a comment.
