Here is MY card for February!

My card is created on a white card base.  I added a piece of Real Red card stock to the top of my card front.  I cut a piece of pattered paper that I found in my stash for the top layer.

The three little birdies are stamped in black ink and colored with Copic Markers.  They are from the Honey Bee Stamps Seasons Tweetings and cut out using the matching dies.   The Jingle all the Way is stamped in black ink and it is from the Jingle All the Way stamp set by Honey Bee Stamps.   The musical notes and inside greeting are from the Seasons Tweetings stamp set.  I added a few red enamel dots to complete my card.  Wink of Stella was added for shine and I added Glossy Accents on the jingle bells to make them pop!  I love the way this card turned out.

February 24, 2019

Can you believe February is almost over?  Time just keeps flying by.  It's Sunday and time for new challenges at The Paper Players and Sunday Stamps!

The Amazing Ann is our hostess this week at The Paper Players and she has a fantastic sketch for all of us!  Y'all know how I LOVE layers, so I had so many ideas for this one!  But, WOW-these colors at Sunday Stamps are beautiful.  I just had to combine these challenges this week.

Use a minimum of 3 colors and a neutral of your choice.

My card is created on a white card base.  I covered the top with an old piece of Daffodil Delights polka dot DSP.  I added the two colors of blue and backed them with white card stock to make them pop.  The flowers were all cut using the same card stock using the MFT Stitched Blooms dies.

The leaves and stems were cut using the same dies with vellum.  The sentiment  is from Cas-ual Fridays Special Delivery.

You're An Oldie But Goodie! PP 429

February 17, 2019

It's Sunday and you know what that means!  It's time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

The Lovely LeAnne is our hostess this week and she has a wonderful Clean And Simple Monochromatic challenge for all of us.  We can't wait to see what you create!

Ok, y'all know that CAS is very difficult for me.  I know this isn't white space, but it is a neutral and I hope LeAnne will consider my card Clean and Simple.  I wanted a fun card for my BIL and I just purchased this fabulous die set from MFT.  It is called Turntable Die-namics. I added a wood grained background and then I cut all the pieces from different shades of brown/kraft card stocks.  I added a brad on the turntable and the needle.  The turntable actually turns!

The sentiments are from the MFT For The Record
stamp set.  I added two more dials inside for fun and lined the envelope panel with the wood grained paper.  I hope this brings back some good memories to all of you that collected albums.  I still have mine, by the way!  They are making a comeback.  ENJOY!

Here is Sketch #551

My card is created on a Real Red card base.  I used a Scalloped Border Die from Pretty Pink Posh to separate the white and black/ white polka dots to create the border in the sketch.   All of the flowers and stems are created using Real Red, Yellow and Old Olive card stock and the My Favorite Things Stitched Blooms dies.

The sentiment on the front and inside are from the stamp set Cas-ual Friday Stamps-Special Delivery.

I am trying to finish the inside of my cards and make a matching envelope.  That way they are almost ready for the mail.

Thank you for stopping by my blog!  Don't forget to visit all the DT blogs for lots of inspiration!  We sure hope you will play along with us!

My card is created on a purple card base.  I used a piece of water color paper and smooshed the background using distress inks.  I found a scrap of floral paper in my stash for the rectangle.  The hearts were cut using the Cherry Lynn Two of Hearts  die set.  I cut the larger heart in purple and the top heart in white.  I added two small candy hearts in pink and purple using the Sweetheart Candy die set.

White Baker's twine was added around the card and a small bow. A few clear, sparkling sequins were added to complete my card.  I also added a sentiment inside and two more of the sweetheart candy hearts.  I added the floral print on the envelope panel that matched the front of the card.

You're Tu-Tu Sweet PP428

February 10, 2019

I attended the Valentine dances with my GRAND daughters yesterday.  We had a blast.  Thought I would share this happy moment with all of you!

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

The lovely Laurie is our hostess this week and she has a fabulous color challenge for all of us!  We can't wait to see what you create!

My card is created on a Smokey Slate card base.  The curtains were made using Basic Gray and the MFT die set Take The Stage.  I added black ink with a sponge dauber to add dimension to the curtains.  The little ballerina is stamped in Momento black ink.  I used the MFT Tu-Tu Sweet stamp set.  The matching die was used to cut her out.  I colored her with Copic Markers and added Wink of Stella for shine.  Clear, sparkling sequins were added to complete my card.

I ran a piece of the gray paper down the side of the card and stamped the image again.  The sentiment is from the same set.  The envelope panel is a scrap from my pile, but tied in the pink.

I Just Love you! PP427

February 3, 2019

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

The amazing Joanne is our hostess this week and she has a fabulous theme challenge for all of us.  With Valentine's Day just around the corner, it is the perfect challenge.  Always so fun to spread a little love!

I am also entering my card in the Cardz 4 Gals #89 Challenge.
Hearts is the theme--red, pink and white.
I am also playing along with Dragonfly Journeys--I Heart You #133.
And the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge  Anything Goes.

My card is created on a white card base.  I LOVE lots of layers so, I added a Real Red and Pink layer behind my fun Valentine paper.  This card is for my GRAND daughter Addison.  She loves to talk on the phone and she loves music.  I added the strip of music notes and used a heart border to add two red borders to make the music paper pop.  Then I cut four ovals using dies to place behind this MFT Pure Innocence Cutie.  I used the A Phone Call Away stamp set.  I paper pieced her outfit and colored her with Copic Markers.  I used the matching die to cut her out.  The sentiment  is stamped in Versa Mark ink and heat embossed in white embossing powder.  A little Wink of Stella was added to the phone and her hair for shine.  I also added Glossy Accents on the pink phone and black shoes.  My Aunt Betty had a phone like this and I always loved it.  Great memories!

I added a strip of Real Red and the Valentine paper on the inside of the card.  I stamped the same image in black and added a sentiment from the same set.  A few red enamel hearts were added for fun.  A strip of the black Valentine paper was added on the flap of the envelope.

I hope my card made you smile today!

  1. Create a new paper-craft project specifically for this challenge.
