You're My Kind of Peep The Paper Players Challenge PP678

 February 25, 2024

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The Amazing Anne Marie is our hostess this week and she has an amazing sketch for all of us!  This is so versatile and you can use it for any type of card.  Have fun and get creative.

I added a pink panel to my card base.  I found a pack of Easter papers in my stash and picked 3 of the patterns to create the elements in the sketch.  I used my old peep set and made a pink peep and added a fun sentiment from the set.  I added 3 enamel jelly beans for fun.  Such an easy card to create and certain to make one of my grands smile!

You Get Better With Age Sunday Stamps Challenge SSC329

February 17, 2024

It's time for a new challenge at
Sunday Stamps

Look at this amazing color combo we have for you! Don't forget to use a minimum of three colors!   We can't wait to see what you create!

My card is created on a white card base.  I found this cool print in my stash for the background.  I loved the masculine/Native American feel of this pattern.  I stamped the whiskey glass and sentiment using the stamp set by Unity called If You Were Whiskey.  I used Copic Markers to color the whiskey and shade the ice cubes.  The panel was cut using a whacky die.  I sponged an antique distress ink around the edges.  I also added a matching pattern behind the panel for more contrast.  I loved the way this turned out.

Your Friend Always The Paper Players Challenge PP677

 February 17, 2024

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The lovely Ann  is our hostess this week and she has a very fun Clean and Simple Challenge for all of us!  "Forever Friends" is the theme.  It is always great to have a friend card in your stash.  Remember to keep it CAS.  Have fun and get creative!

CAS
Have minimal layers and embellishments
Have plenty of open space
Are simple and uncluttered

I covered the cover of my white card base with a pink and white striped paper I found in my stash.  I used an embossing folder on a white panel that I cut with a postage die.  The pen is created using The Greetery Inked Well Die Set.  I cut the nib and little pieces with gold foil.  I used a floral pattern for the pen base.  The sentiment is from The Greetery Sign Off Sentiment Stamp Set.  The matching  Dies were used to cut out the sentiment.  I did not add any embellishments to keep it CAS.  That is always hard for me!  I love the way this turned out.

Sending Love on Valentine's Day! The Papers Players PP 676

Fe. 11, 2024

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.
The lovely LeAnne  is our hostess this week and she has a very pretty Color Challenge for all of us!  These colors make a beautiful card and we can't wait to see what you create.  Have FUN!

The background is Berry Burst.  I added a Smokey Slate panel cut with a scalloped die next.  The other items on this card are all from The Greetery's latest release.  The LOVE letters were die cut in Bubble Bath using the Flourished Phrases Love Die.  The sentiment is stamped in black using Flourished Phrases Love Additons Stamp Set.  I added Berry Burst flourishes using the Flourished Phrases Love Stencil.  The pen was created using the Inked Well Stamp Set and matching Dies with Berry Burst and Bubble Bath card stock.  I cut a few Berry Blast Glimmer hearts with a die to add some shine.  This card had a lot of steps, but I think it was worth the effort.  I love this color combo!

You Are Loved (A Lot ) The Paper Players Challenge PP675 Sunday Stamps Challenge SSC328

February 4, 2024

It's Sunday and time for new challenges at The Paper Players and Sunday Stamps

The fabulous Joanne is the hostess at The Paper Player this week and she has an amazing Theme Challenge for all of us!  The Theme is "LOVE" but, you don't have to make a Valentine.  You could do one for an anniversary, as wedding or just someone you love!  Have fun and get creative!

Melissa designed the fantastic sketch for all of us to use at Sunday Stamps!  It is so versatile and you can use it for any type of card.

I cut a Smokey Slate background for my card and rounded the edges with a corner trimmer.  The top layer is  Berry Blast Soft Shimmer paper by Stampin Up.  I embossed this with a heart embossing folder.  I added three Smokey Slate circles cut with dies for my hearts.  I stamped the hearts with Berry Blast ink and cut them out with the matching dies.  The sentiment is from an old Valentine set I found in my stash.  I added a white twine bow and three rhinestones to complete my card. I added some Wink of Stella to the hearts to make them shine!
