Peace, Love and Gingerbread--PP323

November 27, 2016

I hope all of my U.S.A. friends had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

The Sensational Sandy is our hostess this week.  She has a fun sketch for all of us.  There are so many directions you could go with this sketch!  Have fun and we can't wait to see what you create!

My card is created on a white card base.  I used paper from Perfectly Plaid Lawn Fawn pack for the background   It was backed with Lawn Fawn Noble Fir paper and I used the same paper to make a frame for my white rectangle.  The little gingerbread boys from SugarPea Designs GingerSnaps stamp set were colored with Copic Markers.  The matching dies were used to cut them out.  The sentiment was stamped on red paper.  Once I was finished, I realized that I was supposed to add another element for the sentiment.  I hope Sandy will forgive me.  Wink of Stella and Enamel dots were added to complete my card.

So happy you stopped by my blog today!  Please leave a message!  I love to hear from you!

Don't forget to check out the fabulous inspirations from our design team and I hope that you will play along with our challenge this week.

A Whole Year More Incrediblerer--ctd420-Seize the Birthday

November 26, 2016

I hope all of you are having a fabulous weekend.

I have not been in my craft room in a week.  I finally found a few minutes to make a card today.

My step-daughter is 9 months pregnant and her birthday is tomorrow.  I took a different take on her card this year.

I am entering my card in the Color Throwdown challenge.  The colors were perfect for her.

I am also entering the Seize the Birthday Challenge.  The toppings this week is "presents".

My card is created on a white card base.  I used the Stampinbella Baby Carriage stamp set to create this card.  I stamped the girl in Memento Black ink and colored her with Copic Markers.  I cut the packages off the baby carriage to represent her birthday gifts.  Her baby is due in a few days and I think that will make her new year more "Incrediblerer"!  Wink of Stella and Candy Dots were added to complete the card.

Thank you for stopping by my blog!  Please leave a comment and let me hear from you!

MERRY!--PP321

November 13, 2016

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

Our lovely JoAnne is the hostess this week and she has an amazing color combo for all of us to use!  I am certain your first thought is Christmas, but we can't wait to see what you do with this palette!

My card is created on a white card base.  I used a piece of watercolor paper and added Emerald Envy and Mint Macaron ink with water.  I just let the colors run together to create this background.  I trimmed the paper with the Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle dies from SugarPea Designs.  I stamped the Santa from the stamp set Here Comes Santa Claus by SugarPea Designs and colored him with Copic Markers.  The matching dies was used to cut him out.  The Beautiful Bauble die was cut using Real Red paper and a white center.  I distressed the background and added a snowy hillside for Santa.  The sentiment was created with a "merry" die cut.  I used red on each side and both colors of green in the middle.  there are five layers on the sentiment.  Red and White Baker's twine and sparkling clear sequins were added.  Some Wink of Stella makes Santa shine.

So happy you stopped by my blog today!  Please leave a message!  I love to hear from you!
