You Put the Shine in Sunshine Sunday Stamps Challenge SSC393

August 23, 2026

It's time for a new challenge at Sunday Stamps

We have a fun color challenge for all of you as summer comes to an end.  Hard to believe August is almost over.  So, have fun with these colors.  You can create any type of card you choose.  Make sure you use a minimum of 3 of the colors.

I decided to create one last blast to summer with the colors.  I selected the American Crafts Groovy Darlin paper pad for my papers.  The background sun and  the smiling faces panel are both from the pad.  I went through my MFT Pure Innocence stamp sets and pulled this cutie from my stash. The stamp set is called Beach Cutie.  Even though they are no longer in business, I will keep these cuties in my stash.  I colored her with Copic Markers to match the colors in the papers.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

I Am Thankful for You The Paper Players Challenge PP800

 August 23, 2026

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

WE ARE CELEBRATING OUR 800th SKETCH THIS WEEK!

So many wonderful challenges over the years and to celebrate we are using our very first sketch!

The amazing Ann is our hostess this week and she has a fabulous sketch for all of us.  This sketch is so versatile and allows you to make any type of card you need in your stash.  Have fun and get creative!

My card is created on a white card base.  I cut a scalloped panel using Cajun Craze card stock.  The next layer is Lost Lagoon.  I embossed it with an embossing folder and cut it out using another scalloped die.  The sunflower was created using SU Painted Harvest stamp set.  I used two shades of orange ink and brown ink for the center.  I fussy cut the sunflower.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set and stamped on Pool Party card stock and I added a few enamel dots to complete my card.  I really like this color combo for Fall.

Love You to the Core The Paper Players Challenge PP799

 August 16, 2026

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

I am the hostess this week and I have a Clean and Simple Challenge for us.  I know everyone loves Fall so, let's have fun sharing ideas on "Looking Forward to Fall."  There are so many directions you can go with this theme.  So get creative ---just remember to keep it CAS.

CAS to the Paper Players means --uncluttered, lots of white space and few embellishments and layers --

I bought this stamp last year during Simon Says Stamps Stamptember event.  It is from Brutus Monroe.  I embossed my panel with a basket weave embossing folder and then rubbed Crisp Khaki ink on the panel.  The apples and ice cream cone were colored with Copic Markers.  Apples are always the best in the Fall and I remember going to the orchard with my Mom to buy apples and also get some apple cider.  It was always a special trip.  There are lots of orchards in North GA and it is always a fun event in the fall to go to the mountains and visit an orchard.  The sentiments if from an old MFT Pure Innocence set called Love You to the Core.  I added Wink of Stella to the apples for shine.
Do you have a favorite apple?  Mine is Granny Smith.

Life's A Bowl of Cherries The Paper Players Challenge PP798

 August 9, 2026

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The sensational Stef is our hostess this week and she has a fabulous color challenge for all of us.  I have to admit this is my favorite color combo.  I had fun creating with this pallatte.

I started with a tan background and then added a piece of cherry gingham paper I found in my stash.  I actually added some stitching with my sewing machine.  Believe me, I am NOT a seamstress so, this was a stretch for me.  I love retro and decided this needed some ric rack  added on the top and bottom of the panel.  Then I triple mounted teal, aqua and red card stock behind an  ephemera card that came with this paper.  Red and white Baker's Twine and a button were added to complete the card.  I love the way it turned out.

Witch, Please Sunday Stamps Challenge SSC392

August 9, 2026

It's time for a new challenge at Sunday Stamps

This week Amy has a fun sketch for all of us! You can create any type of card with this sketch.  So have fun and get creative!

I love Halloween cards, so I decided to start on my stash.  This fun paper was in my collection of papers.  I combined 3 different patterns to follow the sketch.  I cut the witch, bats, cat and mouse out using the Tim Holtz Toil and Trouble thinlet dies in black card stock.  The sentiment is from an old SugarPea Designs stamp set.  It was an easy card to creat.

Sending You Sweet Wishes The Paper Players Challenge PP797

 August 2, 2026

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The amazing Jan is our hostess this week and she has a fun Theme Challenge for all of us.  "For the Little Ones" is the theme.  There are endless possibilities for children.  It could be for a baby or young child and any reason to send a card works, too. Birthdays, holidays, back to school, etc.   So, have fun and get creative!

I don't know anyone expecting a new baby, so I decided to make a card that any child would love.  I don't know anyone that doesn't love a gum ball machine--I still like them.  LOL!  I found this polka dot paper in my stash and thought it would be perfect for this card.  The gum ball machine die is from Simon Says Stamp.  I have had it in my stash for years.  I created a shaker card and filled the machine with seed beads.  A fun sentiment was added to complete my card.
