Life's a Beach Sunday Stamps Challenge SSC338

June 23, 2024

It's time for a new challenge at Sunday Stamps

Amy created this fabulous sketch for all of us.   It is so versatile and one you can use over and over!  Just perfect for any type of card.

My card was created by adding a piece of paper I found in my stash to the background.  I added a green layer behind my watercolored panel.  I used Distress ink to create the background to look like the ocena.  The Seahorse is from Lavinia Stamps.  It is called Sebastian the Seahorse Stamp.  I think it is so realistic.  I added a few blue gems to complete my card.  The sentiment is stamped in black.

Congrats On Your New Home The Paper Players Challenge PP695

June 23, 2024

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The Amazing Ann is our hostess this week and she has a fantastic sketch challenge for all of us!  Let's get creative and see what you do with this sketch!

My brother and his wife just relocated to FL so, I needed a card for them.   I added a Crumb Cake background to my card.  The strips were cut from wood grained paper and I cut the corners to make it look like a frame.  The Vintage Mason Jar stamp is from Sunny Studios. I stamped it in Coastal Cabana Ink.  I used four scraps of gingham paper from my stash and my favorite My Favorite Thing flower dies to mix and match the flowers and leaves in the bouquet.  I cut an oval shape out of Crumb Cake and added the sentiment from a retired set Special Delivery by Casual Friday.  Unfortunately, they are out of business.  I added a few white enamel dots to the center of the flowers and the sentiment!

Fight Like A Girl The Paper Players Challenge PP694

 June 16, 2024

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The lovely LeAnne is our hostess this week and she has a Clean and Simple Challenge for all of us!  Sympathy or Encouragement is the theme this week.  Remember to keep it CAS.  We all need these cards in our stash.  So let's get creative and have fun!

A few weeks ago, I got the bad news that my dear friend was diagnosed with breast cancer.  I am trying to send her a card every few weeks to keep her spirits up during chemo.  She is a beach girl and I thought this little bra/beach top would make her smile.  I added a strip of black and white stripes that I found in my stash.  I added a fun black circle cut with scalloped edges.  The bra top was made with the My Favorite Things Support Hope Die-namics.  It is retired, but I will keep it in my stash because it seems I have to pull it out to make a card too often.  I used scraps of pink,  pink polka dots and white to create the bra.  I added a little pink bow and a pearl.

When Life Gives You Lemons The Paper Players Challenge PP693

June 9, 2024

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The Amazing Joanne is our hostess this week and she has a gorgeous color challenge for all of us!  I do love this combo so much and we can't wait to see what you create.  Have fun!

My card is created using the Stampin Up Designer Series Paper Mediterranean Blooms.  I just love this gorgeous set of papers.  I used the frame die I found in my stash and cut Night of Navy backgrounds for the panels.  The lemons and leaves were fussy cut from one of the pieces of dsp.  The sentiment is from W Plus 9-Southern Sentiment.  The inside sentiment says:"Put them in Sweet Tea"!      Of course, every Southern card needs a few pearls, too!

Hello, My Friend The Paper Players Challenge PP692

 June 2, 2024

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The amazing Jaydee is our hostess this week and she has a fun Theme Challenge for all of us!  "Friendship" is the theme for the week.  There are so many ways to go with this idea.  So have fun and get creative!

I loved making this card because of the color combo I used.  You know I LOVE bright colors and this DSP from Stampin' Up is GOR-GE-OUS!  It is called Flowering Zinnias and it is available now.  I used Blackberry Bliss card stock for my background and then mixed the patterns up to create the main panel.  I did emboss the middle strip with the linen embossing folder from SU to add more texture.  The zinnias were fussy cut from one of the papers.  I added the fun sentiment and a few enamel dots to complete my card.
