You Make Me Happy--The Challenge #38

June 8, 2015

Another week has passed by and it was wonderful to see all of your creations with our sketch last week!  SO glad you played along with us!

It's time for another fun color challenge at Always Playing with Paper --The Challenge!  Navy, Kraft and Coral-----oh the possibilities!

1. Use the challenge to create a card.
2. Please add the challenge photo to your post (copy and paste).
3. Have fun and comment on the submissions of others.
4. Anything that is offensive to myself or to my viewers will be removed.
5. Have fun.

My base card is Crumb Cake card stock. (5 1/2 x 4 1/4)  The next layer was created using a piece of Very Vanilla card stock (5 1/4 X 4).  I rubbed Night of Navy ink inside the top portion of the new "Boho Chic" embossing folder by Stampin' Up! and ran it through my Big Shot.  I love the way it turned out.  The ink being uneven made it look like watercolor.  Such a fun technique!  Fast and easy but, lots of bang!

I cut a square of Crumb Cake and then a square with Very Vanilla.  I heat embossed the sentiment by stamping it with Versa Mark and then heat embossed it with gold embossing powder.

I stamped 2 peonies using Altenew-Peony Scrolls.  I watercolored them using Caylpso Coral ink and my aquapainter.  Then, I used the Altenew-Peony Scroll Dies to cut the flowers out.

The flowers are adhered with dimensionals and then I added a few sparkling sequins by Pretty Pink Posh.

I am so happy you stopped by my blog today!  Please leave a message and let me hear from you!

Please stop by all the other blogs by the Design Team members!  They are just so amazingly talented!!!

Until next time!

Hugs!
Claire

  9. I just love this Claire! The background is awesome; there are so many techniques out there and I forget to use them. This makes me want to go ink up an embossing folder! Beautiful!
