Witch Way to the Candy? The Paper Players Challenge PP704

August 25, 2025

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The amazing Jaydee is our hostess this week and she has a fun Sketch Challenge for all of us!  I love this sketch and the possibilities are endless!  Have fun and get creative!

I love to make Halloween cards so, I decided to get busy on my stash for this Fall.  I cut a square card base-5 x 5 and added a piece of Old Olive that I embossed and added black ink with a sponge.  The DSP was in my stash.  The witch hat die is from Spellbinders.  I paper pieced the shoes and the legs and hat band.  I used black glitter paper for the hat.  You know I love shoes so, I added the polka dots --it's always about the shoes.  The sentiment is stamped on grape paper and I inked the edges.  Gold sequins were added for fun and shine.

So Berry Kind of You! The Paper Players Challenge PP703 Sunday Stamps Challenge SSC342

August 18, 2024

It's Sunday and time for new challenges at The Paper Players and Sunday Stamps

I am the hostess this week at The Paper Players.  It is Clean and Simple Week.  The theme is "Fruit"!  We all enjoy eating fruit in the summer.  Do you have a favorite?  I love all of it!  Remember to keep it CAS though.

Sunday Stamps has a fun sketch to play with this week.  I was able to combine these two challenges to create my fun card.

I love strawberries in the summer so, I pulled out this fun set from Concord and 9th.  The name of the set is Sweet Strawberries.  I used the matching dies, too  I followed the sketch and added a strawberry print and some gingham.  The little flowers are from the same set.  I added some Wink of Stella to the strawberry and placed rhinestones on the center of the flowers.

HOPE The Paper Players Challenge PP702

August 11, 2024

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The amazing Jan is our hostess and she has a beautiful color challenge for all of us!  It is still summer and these colors remind us of that.  I know many of us are ready to head into Fall with the hot temperatures in August!  Have fun and get creative!

I added a Lemon Lolly background to my card base. Then I added a Flirty Flamingo panel die cut with a postage die and embossed it with a favorite embossing folder.  You know I love polka dots!  I pulled out this fabulous stamp and die set from Concord and 9th.  It is retired now, but I keep it in my stash.  I continue to make cards for my girlfriend going through chemo.  The flowers are stamped in Flirty Flamingo and a darker shade of pink.  The leaves are stamped in Soft Sea Foam.  I fussy cut the flowers and leaves.  Pearls were added to complete the card.
FYI--I did see this set for sale on ebay if you are interested.

Sending You Flowers Sunday Stamps Challenge SSC341

Aug. 4, 2024

It's time for a new challenge at Sunday Stamps

Our Color Challenge is so gorgeous and one you can use over and over!  Just perfect for any type of card.  Have fun and get creative!

I love bright, vibrant colors so, I had fun playing with the combo this week.  I covered the card base with Berry Blast card stock.  I used a cover plate and cut it out with blue.  The envelope, flowers and bows were created using the Pink Fresh Floral envelope stamps and dies.  I can't find them on their site.  Copic Markers were used to color the flowers.  I added a few pearls to complete the card.  The sentiment is from the same set.

Life's A Beach The Paper Players Challenge PP701

August 4, 2024

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The amazing Stef is our hostess this week and she has a fun theme challenge for all of us!  "Beach Time" is always a favorite of mine.  But, in Georgia, all the kids are back to school.  It sure seems like summer has slipped by too quickly. We can always dream we are at the beach so, have fun and get creative with some beachy cards this week!

My card is created on a white card base.  I added a layer of lemon lime paper for the background.  I created the main panel using The Simon Says Stamps Beach Party Umbrellas.  I  stamped with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed the umbrellas with white embossing powder.  I used Distress inks to blend the colors on this panel.  The hats and sentiment were created using the Simon Says Stamps Beachy Keen stamps and die set.
