Merry Christmas Paper Players Challenge PP570

 Dec. 5, 2021

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

The fabulous Jaydee is our hostess this week and she has an amazing Theme Challenge for all of us!  We can't wait to see what you create.

My card is created on a red card base.  I used the directions and CAS'd the amazing Ann Schach's Double Z-Fold Card from a few weeks ago.  I loved her card so much!  I found this retired SU Christmas village paper in my stash and thought it was perfect.  It looks like a winter wonderland to me!  The DSP was from the Home for Christmas paper pack.  I backed each panel with green paper and then added an embossed snowflake panel on the top.  The snowflakes were stamped in Soft Sky using the retired Snowflake Flurry set by SU.  I used the matching dies to cut them out.  The sentiment is from an old set, too!  I guess it is "old home week" for my card.  I love a lot of the old sets I have saved and it fun to pull them out at times to show them some love.  A few rhinestones and my card is complete.  I also made a matching envelope.  Thank you, Ann for the inspiration!

  1. This turned out beautiful Claire! I love that fold as it makes such a special gift for the receiver!

  2. What a great fun fold Claire! The extra time that goes into these is totally worth it. Have a great week!

  3. What stamp set did your sentiment come from? I know you said it was retired, would appreciate knowing which one to see if I have that? Is there some reason, you don't tell us the name of the retired dsp? I know, I have a lot of retired dsp to use up, just makes it easier to figure this out. I did find Ann Schach instructions on how to do. Thank you. Pretty Card.

    1. Hi Linda, I did some research and found the DSP was called Home for Christmas DSP pack. I just didn't have the info when I wrote my blog. Sorry! I am still trying to find the stamp.

  4. Oh what fun, Claire! I love this delightful paper with its vintage was one of my favorites...and so perfect for this card. The colors really put one into a festive, holiday mood. Thank you for the shout out, too! Have a wonderful week!

  5. That paper is so perfect Claire! The little buildings remind me of the light up winter village scenes people set up in their homes. And the fancy fold is too cool! Have a great week!

  6. Absolutely darling fun-fold Claire! I love the vintage-feel of that DSP too. A wonderful card to celebrate the Christmas holiday!

  7. What a fabulous fun fold Claire - and perfect to showcase your vintage winter paper too!

  8. Claire, what an amazing fun fold! Your patterned paper is perfect for this week's theme. Have a great weekend.

  9. Claire, that fold is amazing and I love the detailed paper you used from your stash. The fold really shows off the paper! I also love the little embossed rectangle. It really does add a lovely touch of texture. Thanks for rocking my challenge this week
