I wanted to make a very special Valentine for my hubby. He puts up with all my crazy ideas and whims. LOL! So, when I saw the colors at the Colour Q Challenge I knew just what I wanted to do.
I didn't want to make the card girly, so the Kraft paper was the perfect background. I found this retired DSP from Stampin' Up! in my stash and loved the way it gave movement to my card. I die cut this DSP using a Simon Says Stamp-Postage Die. I also cut a Real Red rectangle using the same dies. Neenah White Solar paper was used with Momento Black ink for my image. The stamp from Art Impressions-Tina Set is colored with a variety of Copic and Stampin' Up! Markers. I worked the Cherry Cobbler into her balloon, hearts and sponged the main image and sentiment on the edges. The sentiment was stamped in Momento Black ink and I used a circle punch to cut it out. It was applied with dimensionals. The banner die is from SugarPea Designs-Stitched Flags. I cut around the balloon before I cut the image out with the die. Lots of Wink of Stella was added for shine!
I hope my card made you smile today! Please leave a comment! I always love to hear from you!
Have a fabulous day!
HUGS!
