I do love a shaker card, so I am going to enter the Friday Mashup this week!
This week's Mash Up! Challenge:
- Create a "Shaker card".
- Create a " Congrats themed" project.
- or Mash it Up! and create a "Congrats themed project with a Shaker element".
My friend asked me to create a special card for her daughter. Her favorite color is bright pink and she loves the beach! I was excited to pull out my "By the Tide" stamp set to create the background for my shaker.
I stamped the coral, shell and seahorse with Versa Mark Ink on watercolor paper and then heat embossed the stamped area with white embossing powder. I used my Aqua Painter and created the water scene with Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Pink Pirouette and Pumpkin Pie ink. I love the way it turned out. I cut a square frame using Melon Mambo card stock and added lots of sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. The card base is Melon Mambo and I added a white layer on top of the base.
"You're Amazing was cut using a Simon Says Stamp die. I am not sure it is the Congratulations sentiment, but it is similar!
