It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.
The Sensational Stef is our hostess this week and she has a very timely challenge for all of us. Since Father's Day is just around the corner, it is the perfect time to make a "Masculine" card. So have fun and get create and show us some manly projects.
My Bill loves old classic cars, so this one is for him. I added a blue panel for my background. I stamped the Unity background stamp Vroom in black ink for the next layer. I also stamped a second background and fussy cut 3 of the cars and colored them with colored pencils. I added dimensionals on the back to pop the cars up. I also added Glossy Accents to the windows and wind shields to look like glass. The sentiment is from an old retired SugarPea designs stamp set. I love the way it turned out.

What a great car card! My hubby would love this---he loves old cars too (so do I!). You rocked this challenge!
ReplyDeleteWow! This background stamp is phenomenal, Claire! What a PERFECT masculine card. I love how you colored a few of the cars. Adding glossy accents for the windows and popping them up on dimensionals really makes them extra special. Bill will love it for sure. Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteSpotlighting those three cars was a terrific design idea Claire! Love that whole background (the name of the stamp cracks me up!) and you had the perfect sentiment to accompany it. I hope Bill loves this card as much as I do!
ReplyDeleteReally great guy card, Claire! My husband isn't what I would call a gearhead (my dad and brother are), but he still points out old, cool-looking cars when we're on road trips or even just driving around town. I love the spotlighted cars and the retro font on that sentiment. Have a wonderful week!
