Life's A Beach! The Paper Players Challenge PP785

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

I am the hostess this week and I have a very bright and happy color challenge for all of you!  I love all these colors, so I thought it would be fun to create cards using this palette.  



I used Gorgeous Grape for my background.  I used the Simon Says Stamps background stamp -Beach Party Umbrellas -on watercolor paper and heat embossed the image with Versa Mark and white embossing powder.  I used a paintbrush and watercolored the umbrellas using the three colors.  The sentiment and flip flops were stamped using the Simon Says Stamps called Beachy Keen.  The matching dies were used, too.  I love how this turned out.  Makes me long for a beach trip.

    Those umbrellas make a fab background Claire - I'm glad you were thinking beachy too! Love that sentiment too - I'm off to see if I can hunt it down as it would be lovely with my set too!!

    Even though I struggled with the colours, I do love them. I think they're summery and bright and fun which translates well with those bright umbrellas. The addition of those glorious purple striped jandals is just the perfect finishing touch! Great challenge - thank you!

    Claire I love those beach umbrellas and would have never thought to use these colors for them, but they look fabulous! I would love to head to the beach as well, it's been waaaay too long! Thanks for a wonderful color combination to play with!
