JOY to the World The Paper Players Challenge PP

 December 8, 2024

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The amazing Ann is our hostess this week!  She has a beautiful color challenge for the last challenge of 2024. Cherry Cobbler, Pretty Peacock and Gold are a regal combination!  You can also add black and white as neutrals.  We can't wait to see what you create!

A BIG thank you to Jolanda and Cynthia for being such fabulous guest designers.  We have enjoyed your beautiful contributions to our weekly challenges!

A Cherry Cobbler background was added to the card base.  I rounded the corners with a corner rounder.  Then, I added a white layer and rounded the edges and inked the edges with Cherry Cobbler ink.  The poinsettia was cut using a poinsettia die.  I cut the large die out once and used the smaller die to cut two.  The layers make it more dimens
ional.  I used Cherry Cobbler card stock and cut the leaves with Pretty Peacock DSP from the Stampin' Up Regal Winter card stock pack.  The "joy" was cut in gold foil four times and stacked to create dimension.  I heat embossed the "to the world" in gold embossing powder.   I added gold enamel dots to complete my card.

  1. Oh, wow, Claire! Bold and beautiful! The touches of gold are stunning. I LOVE how you built up "Joy" by die cutting four of them. The poinsettia is lovely and such an iconic image of the holiday season. What a wonderful way to show off the challenge colors! Have a blessed Christmas, my friend!
