You Melt My Heart The Paper Players Challenge PP700

July 28, 2024

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The amazing LeAnne is our hostess this week and she has a fantastic sketch challenge for all of us!  This is very versatile and and can be used for any type of card.  So have fun and get creative!

I have had three of my grands for the week and let me tell you, we have gone through some ice-cream.  I pulled out this fun stamp set by Reverse Confetti.  Unfortunately,  they went out of business.  I used the Stampin Up Full of Life paper for my background.  I added lime green circles that I embossed with a dot folder for the background.  Then I used Berry, Bliss, Coastal Cabana and Crushed Curry inks for the ice-cream bars.  I used a Copic Marker to color the stick.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

Happy You Day The Paper Players Challenge PP699

July 21, 2024

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The amazing JoAnne is our hostess this week and she has a fun Clean and Simple Challenge for all of us! The theme is "Happy Birthday" and we always need more birthday  cards in our stash.  Just remember to keep it CAS.

I love digging through my scraps and I found this polka dot paper and decided I wanted to use it with my MFT Pure Innocence Girl- I Adore You.  I cut four long rectangles and added them to my card base.  I used an edge die to cut the white panel.  The little girl is colored with Copic Markers and her dress is paper pieced with another piece in my scraps.  I used a heart punch to cut out the little red hearts.  The sentiment is from the same set.

Our sketch is so versatile and one you can use over and over!  Just perfect for any type of card.

Love You Bunches The Paper Players Challenge PP698

July 14, 2024

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The amazing Jaydee is our hostess this week and she has a vibrant color challenge for all of us!  I have always loved this combo and we can't wait to see all of  your  creations!

I had so many ideas for this color combo.  I was looking through a lot of my paper pads--and that is A LOT of paper and this combo just popped out at me.  I layered the bold black and white flower pattern on Real Red card stock.  The little love print came next in my layering.  I used my sunburst dye to cut the two circles.  I used the Stampin Up Two Tone Flora stamp set for the Real Red flower and gray leaves.  This stamp set is a favorite of mine.  The matching dies were used to cut out the pieces.  I stamped the sentiment in gray and added a few black enamel dots to complete my card.

Let's Do Lunch The Paper Players Challenge PP697

July 7, 2024

It's Sunday and time for new challenges at The Paper Players and Sunday Stamps

I am the hostess this week at The Paper Players and I have a timely Theme Challenge for all of you!  "Summer Fun" has so many possibilities.  We can't wait to see your creative take on this theme.

The color challenge at Sunday Stamps was perfect for my summer themed card.  I love this combo!

Many of us think of swimming and the beach for summer, but I decided to go a different direction and think back to fond memories of my childhood and going on a picnic.  Do you still go on picnics?  This old stamp set has been sitting in my stash and it was time to ink it up.  It is from Craftin Desert Divas.  This company is no longer in business, but this set makes me smile. The set is named "Let's Do Lunch". I used a die set from Penny Black to cut the Navy background and emboss the stitching and circles on the panel.  The die set is called Slimline Medley  I added red gingham paper behind the circles.  I stamped the ants, pie and basket and and colored them with Copic Markers.  I fussy cut all the pieces.  I stamped the sentiment in the center circle.  A few white enamel dots and goggly eyes were added to complete my card.
