You Are Sweet--PP #343

May 5, 2017

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

The lovely LeAnne, is our hostess this week!  "Sweet Treats" is the theme for the week.  We can't wait to see all of the different ideas you come up with.  Have fun and get creative!

My first thought was ice cream, but looking through my stamps, I came across this fabulous stamp set from The Stamps of Life.  I have never used it and I knew it would be perfect for this theme.  With summer just around the corner, nothing is better than watermelon on a hot day.

My card is created on a white card base.  I found a piece of DSP with ants all over it.  I knew it was perfect for my background.  I used the SugarPea Designs Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle dies to cut it out.  The sentiment dies and watermelon stamps are from the Watermelon2Stamp set.  I used the matching dies to cut out the pieces and the sentiment.  A few enamel dots were added for fun.

Don't forget to check out the fabulous inspirations from our design team and I hope that you will play along with our challenge this week.

  1. Claire, this is adorable! The ant paper is perfect and I love that you used gingham for the watermelon. Fabulous layout too!

  2. LOL....I didn't realize the background was ants, but how fun is that to go along with your yummy watermelon! CUTE!

  3. I did't see the ants either! How clever to go with the watermelon...such a fun card Claire. I love that sentiment die too.

    Have a great week:)

  4. Claire, I love your fun card! Those ants are so cute and make perfect background for the yummy watermelon.

  5. Claire, it was a great idea to go with the watermelon instead of the ice cream. I love the layout and your black and white background is perfect to make the pink of the watermelon pop. Love the sentiment, too.

  6. Loving the gingham watermelon Claire and the any background paper adds a fun modern touch. You are sweet too!
