Thinking of You at Christmas--PP266

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!  The lovely, Jaydee has a bright and happy color challenge for all of us to play along with.  We can't wait to see your creations!  




My base card is Real Red.  The next two layers are cut using the  Avery Elle-Wonky Stitches Dies using Cucumber Crush and Very Vanilla card stock.  I used the new Festive Flowers Floral punch by Stampin' Up! to create this gorgeous flower.  Real Red and Cucumber Crush inks were used to sponge around the petals and leaves to create dimension. 

The sentiment is from the Embellished Ornaments stamp set by Stampin' Up!  I stamped it in Versa Mark and heat embossed it with red Zing embossing powder.  A pearl was added to the poinsettia for fun!

    This is stunning Claire - your dimensional poinsettia totally steals the show! I do love the stitched base panels too - the add a nice touch of detail. Great take on this week's colours!

    OK... How did I miss the Wonky Stitches.... mind you... I can do that - with a whole host more trouble and strife on my sewing machine... but it wouldn't look anywhere near as good. :-) They are the perfect contrast to your stunningly beautiful poinsettia. What a way to rock the color challenge!
