It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players. The super talented Joanne is our hostess this week! She has a beautiful color challenge for us to use. --Tangelo Twist, Lost Lagoon and So Saffron--We can't wait to see what you create!
Before I share my card, I want to take a moment to thank the AMAZING Ann Schach for all her contributions to the Paper Players. She is multi-talented and has inspired so many of us. I must admit, I am one that looked forward to each one of her stunning entries and will miss her being part of our team! I wish her every happiness and hope she will find joy in her new endeavors!
My base card is Naturals White (5 1/2 X 4 1/4) . I like the fleck of colors in this paper for a Fall card. The next layer is a piece of watercolor paper. (5 1/4 X 4) I used Tangelo Twist ink and watered it down and brushed it on the watercolor paper. (I was surprised how much lighter it dried than the way it appears on the leaves.) I liked the contrast it created. I stamped the Papertrey Ink--Twig Wreath with Early Expresso on Natural White paper. I used the matching twig Wreath Die to cut it out. I made two wreaths and stacked them together for a thicker wreath.
I stamped a lot of leaves with the three shades of ink and cut them out with the dies. I also stamped several of the twig pieces in each color and cut them out with the matching dies. The sentiment is from Winnie and Walter-The Big, The Bold and Comfort and the banner is from The Big, The Bold and Extras. I cut a piece of fun foam to mount behind the watercolored piece to give it dimension off the base card. I thought this would be a great sympathy card as well as a card for someone that needed prayers.
So happy you stopped by my blog today! Please leave a message! I love to hear from you!
Don't forget to check out the fabulous inspirations from our design team and I hope that you will play along with our challenge this week.
