It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players! The Lovely LeAnne is our hostess this week and she is hanging on to summer as long as she can! She is challenging us to create Clean and Simple cards with a beach theme!
I have said this many time, but Clean and Simple is very difficult for me. I am a layer upon layer kind of girl, so I struggled with this one.
I received the Simon Says Stamp Card Kit for August called "Summer Sunshine." The base card is from this kit. The next layer is Whisper White cut with a rectangle stitched die. The top layer is created using watercolor paper. I used several shades of Tim Holtz Distress Inks. I just kept blending the colors until I got the look I desired. I used a polka dot stencil and dauber to add the bubbles. The script and the seahorse is from the retired Stampin' Up set, By the Tide. I stamped off the ink on part of the seahorses and the script. I used a scalloped frame I had in my stash, but I don't remember where it is from. If anyone knows, please add a comment and I will add it to my post. THANKS!
The sentiment is a sticker from Tim Holtz Black and White Small Talk Sticker set. I did not add any other embellishments in order to keep in CAS. Clean and Simple---easy peazy!
So happy you stopped by my blog today! Please leave a message! I love to hear from you!
