I have been very busy getting a lot of cards made because I am leaving for Indiana to visit my college girlfriend and then my mom. I am looking forward to spending special time with both of them. I am also going to Indiana University to see my niece ride in the Little 500 bike race next Friday. I am so proud of her!
My card is for the Friday Mashup and the As You See It Challenge. It is so fun when you find two challenge that you can enter with one card.
The Friday Mashup wants you to create a project with the sketch and/or the bouncing brayer technique. Here is the link to the bouncing brayer technique. The As You See It Challenge requires: Pink, Lace, Butterfly, Shiny and Newsprint. Here is my card for both challenges.
After watching the video on the bouncing brayer technique, I created the top section of the card with Melon Mambo ink. I used the newsprint (retired-Stampin' Up!) at the bottom. The scalloped border punch was used to create the black border and then I added the lace on the top of the border. The Butterfly Basics stamp set from Stampin' Up! was used for the butterflies. White circles were cut from a stitched die and inked with Melon Mambo on the edges to draw the eye inward to the beautiful butterflies.
I love the how you can make your own Designer Series Paper using the bouncing brayer technique. It gives such a fun look to a card. This is another reason I love participating in challenges. I learn so much from trying new ideas.
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog! I love to hear from you so, please leave a comment!
Always follow your dreams!
Happy Stampin!
Claire
You are a card making machine right now :)
