Oh my, it is a rainy, dreary, gloomy, chilly day in Georgia! I have never been a fan of January. I know it is all part of the cycle, but I am looking forward to sunnier days.
So, I brought a little sun shine into my day and found time to play in my craft room. I always feel better when I can spend some time being creative.
This week at The Friday Mashup they had a fun challenge to play along with. I love using embossing techniques on my cards, so thought I would give it a try.
This week's Mashup Challenge is:
- Create a project with a "Embossing Folder Stamping Technique". Link Here.
- Create a project with "Mix & Matched Shapes".
- or Mash it Up! and create a "project using the technique with different shapes"
I had so much fun trying to decide which embossing folder to use on my card. Since I am trying to build up my stash of Valentine cards, I decided to use Real Red and picked the arrows. (I didn't realize this embossing folder was retired.) I used a spritz of water on my watercolor paper and the paper looks a little watery in spots, but that is the way the technique is shown. I am kind of nervous with this look, but I am trying something new today. Hope you enjoy my card!
Thanks for stopping by today. Please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts. I love to hear from you!
If you have any questions on my card, please contact me at: Claire.
Stay warm and dry!
Happy Stampin!
