Witches Night Out--FMS 159

 October 23, 2014

I had a fabulous time on my trip to D.C.!  WOW!  So much to do and so little time.  The monuments, museums and excitement of the city were amazing!  I could spend hours and hours in every museum.  The highlights of my trip were the Lincoln Memorial, WW II Memorial and Mt. Vernon.  I also loved the changing of the guard at Arlington Cemetery!  It was so moving!

I love traveling, but Dorothy is right!  "There is NO place like home!"  I am back in my happy room and I have a Halloween card to share with you today.  It is about time to mail all of my cards, so this will be one of my last Halloween cards of the season.  I do love to make these cards.  They make me smile!  Such a fun day for all of us to pretend and eat candy!

I am using Jen's fabulous sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.  I love all the terrific examples by the Design Team.  They are always so creative and inspirational!

I enjoyed making this card.  I included all of my favorite items.  Sequins, twine, a button, embossing and lots of layers!  I hope you enjoy my card!

The base card is Whisper White (5 1/2" X 4 1/4").  The next layer is Basic Black (4 1/8 X 5 3/8"). I used a piece of Motley Monsters Designer Series Paper for the top layer (5 1/4" X 4").  Then I cut the Basic Black square (3 1/8"  3 1/8") and the Whisper White square (3" X 3").  I added Washi Tape to the square to draw the eye up.  I used a witch die from Impressive Obsession to cut her out of Basic Black.  I think she looks like the Wicked Witch of the West from the Wizard of Oz.  LOL!  I cut a circle  (2 1/4")  my Circle Framelits and embossed it using the Square Lattice embossing folder.  It is now retired, but it is still a favorite of mine!  Lots of dimensionals, a bow, button and sequins were added for fun!

Please leave a comment and let me know what you think.  I LOVE to hear from you!
