Week 1 Blog Hop-Create With Connie & Mary Holiday Collection

October 18, 2014

 Bronwyn Eastley

Welcome to Week 1 of the Create With Connie & Mary Holiday Collection Blog Hop!!!!  We are so excited and know you will love all the fabulous ideas and inspiration!  You should have arrived here from Bronwyn Eastley blog.  Her work is just amazing!

My project featured the Letterpress Winter Stamp Set and the All Is Calm Designer Series Paper.  I continued my theme with the holiday greeting card.

(This card could be used for various occasions other than Season's Greetings.  You could write a thank you note, stamp Happy Birthday or Get Well on the inside instead of the holiday greeting.)

My card base is cut 10" X 5" using  Lost Lagoon Cardstock.  I scored the card at 5".  Using the Stampin' Up! Paper Trimmer, I cut four squares 2" X 2"  using Pear Pizazz Cardstock.  Then I cut 4 squares 1 3/4" X 1 3/4"  in All Is Calm Designer Series Paper.  I adhered these on my card base using Snail Adhesive.

The next step is to cut a 3 1/4" X 3 1/4" square using Silver Glimmer Paper.  I adhered this on top of my squares using Tombow glue.  I continued cutting squares in Lost Lagoon and Pear Pizazz to make the inner focal point.

Lost Lagoon  3" X3"
Pear Pizazz  2 7/8" X 2 7/8"
Lost Lagoon  2 3/4" X 2 3/4"
Pear Pizazz  2 5/8" X 2 5/8"

I stamped the circle Snowflake in Lost Lagoon ink and cut it out using the 2" Circle Framelit.  Using the 1 1/4" Scallop Circle Punch, make a Silver Shimmer circle to mount on top of your snowflake. Continue by stamping the "For You" sentiment in Pear Pizazz ink.  Cut it out using the 1" Circle Framelit. Adhere rhinestones for added bling!  You might like to use pearls!

On the inside of the card I layered the Lost Lagoon base with a piece of Pear Pizazz Cardstock (4 3/4" X 4 3/4")  I stamped the sentiment and snowflakes in Lost Lagoon ink on a piece of Whisper White Paper 9 (4 1/2" X 4 1/2") and adhered it to the Pear Pizazz.

I used my Stampin' Up! Envelope Maker and followed the directions on the front panel for a 5" X 5" card.  I used a different pattern from the All Is Calm DSP to add another special touch to my card!

I sure hope you enjoyed my card.  Please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts.  I always love to hear from you!
