Happy Birthday With Sprinkles on Top-SSC81-Merry Monday

July 28, 2014

Today is a special day for several reasons!  I just returned home from Atlanta.  I visited my new GRANDson, Robert Joseph in NICU.  He so adorable!  He continues to get a little stronger each day and I hope he will be able to go home soon.  It is amazing to hold a tiny baby.  It really does make you realize how important it is to cherish every moment.

Then in the afternoon I took Miss Addison school shopping.  We had such a FUN day!!!  She is so funny and going through Target with a 5 year old (girl) is a whole different experience.  I don't think I have ever spent 2 hours in Target at one time.  We had to look at everything!!  We did buy some essentials for school, and then in a weak moment, I gave in to the pink, "Princess" Cowgirl boots.  Oh well, you only live once!  She was so thrilled with her new treasure!  I am not sure her Mommy was, and I doubt her teacher will be either----but that's what Grammy's are for!!  RIGHT?!?!?!?  Look out Kindergarten, she is coming on Monday!

Now, my third reason today is special is because today is LeAnne Pugliese's birthday!  It is a BANNER DAY!  LeAnne is a talented card maker that I have followed for two years and I finally met her at Convention.  She is a lovely, creative and kind person and I wish I could see her more often!  She has encouraged me through lovely comments and sweet emails.  Wishing you a FANTASTIC Birthday, LeAnne!

The Merry Monday Challenge is hosting a Anything Goes Birthday challenge to celebrate LeAnne!  I just had to play along.

I am also playing along with the Sunday Stamps Challenge.  The colors Strawberry Slush, Pink Pirouette and Very Vanilla were perfect for my card.

I had so much fun making this card!  I hope you enjoy it, too!

Some of my products were from Papertrey Inks.  The rest are all Stampin' Up! Products.

  1. Claire, your card is SENSATIONAL!! I LOVE everything about it! So glad you enjoyed time with your grandchildren - they are beautiful! My "baby" (now 17) was 3lbs. 4oz. at birth - they may be tiny, but very resilient! Hope little Robert Joseph is home soon!

  4. Oh my goodness, this post is so full of fun, amazing stuff, I don't know where to begin! That little grandson of yours is so precious....don't you just love them so much when they're so very tiny & wee?!!! Hopin' he gets strong soon so he can come home! And Miss Addison...well, you might know Miss Cassidy has some pink cowgirl boots too (she just wore them the other day with her pajamas, then her shorts!) and Addison is as cute as can be in them! She'll be the fashionista of of kindergarten for sure! And then, my card...wooooohooooo! What a vision of pink sugary goodness! LOVE the sequins in the shaker--and the diecut---and the sentiment! I love it ALL! Thanks for helping make my (ahem) milestone birthday SO special!
