It was a very gloomy day, but I managed to get in my weekly tennis game. Our season ends next week and that makes me sad, but the holidays are coming and that just takes one thing off my to-do list.
I was looking through the challenges today and realized the Stampin' Up! Only Challenge had changed. When I saw it was a "A Harvest Theme," I knew just what I wanted to do. I pulled out my Perfectly Preserved Stamp Set and started creating. My 85 year old Mommy still cans food every summer from her garden. I grew up watching her work so diligently to prepare food for our family every day. I am so very thankful for the way I grew up! I do think WWII parents taught us such wonderful values. Her hard work and effort paid off every winter when we still had garden vegetables to eat. I think of her every time I use this stamp set.

ReplyDeleteP.S. I am unable to play tennis but love watching it on TV- great to know that there is another tennis fan that likes to stamp :-)
Thank you very much, Julie! Yes, my parents were the best. I am glad to hear you like to watch tennis. I get so nervous during the matches. Ha Ha! I don't play well, but I love it!

Hi Claire, I really like your use of the Perfectly Preserved stamp set for this card! I own the set myself, but rarely have used it. Perhaps your card will give me more inspiration to dust it off!
