We Three Kings Merry Monday #80

October 24, 2013

It has been a busy morning around my house.  Trying to catch up on all the jobs that need to be done.  I have a pile of ironing to do, but decided to go in my craft room instead.  :)))  That ironing will still be there later ------ I always wish I could be "Bewitched" and wiggle my nose and it would be done.

I came across the Always Playing With Paper, Merry Monday Challenge and loved it.  The theme is music or a carol.  When I read that, I knew just which stamp that I wanted to use.  There are so many wonderful holiday songs, but this stamp of the 3 Wise Men was calling, "Use Us!"  So, here is my card for the challenge.

Trick or Treat DD #75

October 23, 2013

Yesterday, I went on my GRANDdaughter, Addison's field trip to the Southern Bell Farm.  We had such a wonderful day.  I am so thankful I was able to share this special day with her.  We saw farm animals, took a hay ride, went through the corn maze and picked a pumpkin.  Our favorite part was the pig races.  Her little friends are adorable, too,  Four is such a fabulous age.

I am sneaking in the final hours to enter the Dynamic Duos Challenge.  I absolutely love these little Trick or Treaters and wanted to use them on a card.  ENJOY!

Harvest Time SUO #82

October 22, 2013

It was a very gloomy day, but I managed to get in my weekly tennis game.  Our season ends next week and that makes me sad, but the holidays are coming and that just takes one thing off my to-do list.

I was looking through the challenges today and realized the Stampin' Up! Only Challenge had changed.  When I saw it was a "A Harvest Theme,"  I knew just what I wanted to do.  I pulled out my Perfectly Preserved Stamp Set and started creating.  My 85 year old Mommy still cans food every summer from her garden.  I grew up watching her work so diligently to prepare food for our family every day.  I am so very thankful for the way I grew up!   I do think WWII parents taught us such wonderful values.  Her hard work and effort paid off every winter when we still had garden vegetables to eat.  I think of her every time I use this stamp set.
