It's Sunday! That means it is time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!
The lovely Jaydee is our hostess this week. She is the queen of marvelous floral cards. She wants to see flowers on your CAS projects this week.
My card was created to celebrate my very best friend's (from college) birthday! That means we have been friends, FOREVER! She loves turquoise.
I used a white card base today. I created a blend of Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers Distress inks to make the background frame on watercolor paper. The water color panel on the front is trimmed with a rectangle stitched die. The flowers from WPlus 9 Doddle Buds are probably one of my favorite stamp sets. I used my Zig Watercolor markers to color the flowers in different shades of blue and green. I used the dies to cut the front flower out and popped it up with dimensionals. I also added Wink of Stella to the flowers for shine.
Don't forget to check out the fabulous inspirations from our design team and I hope that you will play along with our challenge this week.

I love these colors too and combined with the funky, mod flowers it has a great retro vibe that I love. Nice simple layout too--great card, my friend!
ReplyDeleteClaire I love this, and love the shapes of the flowers! I think I am going to have to add this stamp set to my wish list. Great watercoloring, too!
ReplyDeleteOh Claire, those doodled flowers in turquoise are adorable! Great layout, a lot of color but still clean and simple.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Claire! Love the stamp set and your colours are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteClaire, this is a fabulous use of this set and I love that you went with the unexpected colors. The greens and blues are gorgeous, especially with the bold, black sentiment. I love the colored frame, too. Wonderful card, my friend. Thank you for rocking my challenge - and for the lovely call out :-)
