With Sympathy The Paper Players Challenge PP631

March 12, 2023

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players

The Amazing LeAnne  is our hostess this week and she has a very fun Color  Challenge for all of us!  We can't wait to see what you create!  You know I love bright colors so, I had a lot of fun ideas for this challenge!

I wanted to make something fun with these colors, but unfortunately, I needed a sympathy card this week.  I used Mustard Seed and Twisted Citron Distress oxide inks to create the panel on watercolor paper.  I heat embossed the dandelions and sentiment with white embossing powder using the Simon Says Stamp Dandelion Messages stamp set.  I splattered the panel with water.  I added a Tahitian Tide panel  to the top of a white card base.  I added white pearls to complete my card.

  1. Please provide a direct link to the post featuring your challenge entry.
  2. Please link your card to no more than four challenges, TOTAL, including ours
  3. Please be considerate of our requests; entries that do not follow any of these rules will be deleted without notification.
  4. Have fun, and thank you for playing with us!

  5. I think this is a great example of why we shouldn't shy away from using bright colours for sympathy cards - that inked panel is fabulous Claire and the colours and simple dandelion image are both serene and uplifting at the same time. Beautiful!

  7. I have to agree with everyone else in the comments. I wouldn't think of these colors initially for a sympathy card but you made them work beautifully. I love the clean layout, the embossed detail and the gorgeous background.

  8. A beautiful sympathy card, Claire! The colors exude hope and an uplifting of the soul. The dandelions are a wonderful image to use. Of course, the pearls are the perfect accent.
