Got Candy--FMS 198

August 7, 2015

I loved the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches this week!  I just received a new stamp and knew it would be perfect for my card.

I absolutely LOVE to make Halloween cards!  I like the funny ones that make me think of make believe and children having FUN!  I have so many Grands to send cards to, so one of them will enjoy this funny card.

My base card is white.  I added a stitched rectangle panel of polka dots from the K & Company Halloween paper pack.  I then cut an orange frame from the same pack.  I cut an extra small orange stitched rectangle to mount behind the small white rectangle.  I also added a purple banner from the paper pack cut on the ends with snips to form a banner.  The purple paper has little stars on it.  It looks like night time.

I ordered this Halloween Monster from Paper Wishes.  It fit perfectly on my stitched white rectangle die cut.  I colored it with Copic Markers and paper pieced the dress with one of the matching patterns in the K & Company Paper Pack.  I re stamped the pumpkin and colored it with Copics and then I covered the pumpkin candy holder and the shoes with Glossy Accents.  I used a black gel pen to go over the stitching and facial features.  I also added a white dot in the eyes with a white gel pen.

The sentiment was stamped on white with black Versa Fine ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  I used the Stampin' Up Window punch to cut it out.  Three white enamel dots were added to finish the card.

I hope you enjoyed my card and it made you smile.  Please leave a comment if you have time.  I love to hear from you!

Wishing you a very special weekend!

HUGS!
Claire
