Let's Shell-ebrate!--SPDSS48

 It's Wednesday and time for a new sketch challenge at SugarPea Designs Challenge Team Sketch!



You have all month to play along with us! You are welcome to play along with all the sketches or just one but remember the more times you play along during the month, the better chance you have of winning a $75 gift certificate to our store!!!


 The rules are very simple…
  • Create a new card or project using the sketch provided.
  • SugarPea Designs stamps are NOT required to play along or to win but would be appreciated :)
  • You may rotate/flip the sketch & replace shapes – so long as the original sketch layout is recognizable.
  • Upload to your blog or other Online Gallery using Keyword: SPDSS48  so that we may check out your beautiful work.
  • Add your name and link to your project in the InLinkz shown below.
  • One randomly selected winner will receive a $25 Gift Certificate to the SugarPea Designs store. However, if the winning entry features a SugarPea Designs stamp we will increase the prize to $75!
  • We will announce our Sweet Picks and our Main Winner at the end of each month.
  • The more times you play along during the month, the better chance you have of winning!





I wanted  to make a card for the hostess for my upcoming trip to Florida.  I am going to meet up with my sorority sisters from college for a week.  I am so excited to "SHELL-EBRATE our birthdays.  We ALL have the "Big" one this year.  
  
The Seaside Wishes stamp set by SugarPea Designs is one of my all time favorite sets.  I stamped the little girl in Momento Black ink and colored her with Copic Markers.  Wink of Stella was added to make the sand shine and give her a sparkly glow.  I added an embossed circle and used some fun beachy papers I found in my stash.  I love the way this card turned out.  Don't you just love when that happens?

Bravo--The Challenge #67

April 4, 2016

 It's Monday and time for a new challenge at The Challenge!

This week we have a fantastic sketch for you to play along with.  We can't wait to see all your projects! 
A few rules to keep things fun and fair!
1. Use the challenge to create a card.
2. Please add the challenge graphic to your blog post (copy and paste).
3. Have fun and comment on the submissions of others.
4. Anything that is offensive to myself or to my viewers will be removed.
5. Please only link to 3 other challenges plus our challenge for a total of 4 challenges.
6. Have fun!

The sketch was perfect for the card I wanted to create.  My son, Joe just completed his eighth year in the Coast Guard.  I wanted to honor him with a patriotic theme. 


My base card is white.  The next two layers are Island Indigo and Real Red card stock by Stampin' Up!  The strip of stars is from a paper pack in my stash.  I used the stamp set "Be The Star" and the star framelits from Stampin' Up.  Enamel dots were added for fun.  The sentiment is from the "Bravo" stamp set from Stampin' Up and stamped in Versa Fine black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

Cowboy Up--PP289

 It's Sunday and time for a fun new challenge at The Paper Players!

 The Lovely Laurie is our hostess this week!  I just love her Western theme challenge!  I can't wait to see all of your creative ideas for this challenge!





Oh my goodness, I had soooo much fun creating this card!  I have a million and one stamps and not one western themed stamp!!!!  Can you believe that?  I love cowboys, cowgirls and boots, so not quite sure why I don't own any.  So, I went searching for a digital stamp that would work.  Digital Delights-Lil Billy made me smile, so he was perfect for my card!  I colored him with Copic Markers and added some Wink of Stella to add some shine!  The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms-Cowboy Up!    I had this background paper in my stash from my scrapbooking days.  I have no idea where it is from.  Sorry!  The burlap and brad stars were added for fun!
