Let's Be Frank The Paper Players Challenge PP757

 September 28, 2025

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The Sensational Stef is our hostess this week and she has a great sketch challenge for all of us!  Simple and fun--you can create any kind of card with this one.  I know it is a sketch we can all use over and over.  So have fun and get creative.!

I had so much fun creating this card.  I smooshed black, purple and blue distress inks on a piece of watercolor paper.  I splashed water droplets on the paper and after it dried, I embossed it with a wood grain folder for more texture. Frank was created using the Simon Says Stamp Oh Frank stamp & die set.  I stamped the head, hands, and bolts with black ink and colored all the pieces with Copic Markers. I used a yellow circle to pop Frank off the card and a rectangle to add the sentiment.  A few black enamel dots were added to finish my card.

Ghouls Night Out Sunday Stamps Challenge SSC370

September 28, 2025

It's time for a new challenge at Sunday Stamps

We have a fantastic sketch challenge by Melissa for all of you!  There are so many possibilities with this sketch.  Have fun and get creative!

I love to make Halloween cards.  I had so much fun creating these little ghosts.  I found this great piece of Halloween paper in my stash.  I cut a black frame out of two rectangle dies.  The little ghosts were created using the Lawn Fawn Booyah stamp and die set.  It does take a bit of time to cut all the pieces and color them with Copic Markers but, so worth the effort.  I added some Wink of Stella for shine.  The sentiment is from the same set and heat embossed using white powder on black card stock.   Hope my card makes you smile!

Have a Wonderful Birthday The Paper Players Challenge PP756

September 21, 2025

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The lovely Jan is our hostess this week and she has a Clean and Simple Challenge for all of us!  "Watercolor" is the theme this week.  You can use this for any type of card, just remember to keep it CAS!  We can't wait to see what you create.

My card is created using one of my favorite stamp sets by Simon Says Stamp.  Sketched Flowers and Dies is so versatile and you can make such beautiful cards with this set.  I heat embossed the image in gold embossing  powder and watercolored the flowers.  I heat embossed a sentiment and that completed this card.  It really was easy.  Lots of white space and no embellishments but, lots of impact.

I'm Not Saying You're Old Sunday Stamps Challenge SSC369

September 14, 2025

It's time for a new challenge at Sunday Stamps

We have a fantastic color challenge for all  of you!  There are so many possibilities with these colors.  Have fun and get creative!

I needed a masculine card for a dear friend.  He does love his whiskey, so I though this was the perfect color combo to work with.  The background is navy.  I used this piece of DSP that looks like a leather chair.  I don't know where I got it.  Sorry!  Then I used some scraps of paper I found in my stash for the for the layer under the glass and the side banners.  The whiskey glass was stamped using the Unity Stamps If You Were Whiskey stamp set.  I colored it with Copic Markers and fussy cut it.  I added Glossy Accents on the ice cubes to make them look real.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.  I found these cork embellishments in my stash and thought they were the perfect finishing touch.  I sure wish I could find more of these.

Oh My Gourd The Paper Players Challengte PP755

 September 16, 2025

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The Lovely LeAnne is our hostess this week.  She has a gorgeous color challenge for all of us.  We can't wait to see what you create.

My card is created using all three colors of ink.  I used watercolor paper and the smooshing technique to create the background.  I used Versa Mark ink to stamp the Simon Says Stamp Pumpking to Talk About background and heat embossed the image with white embossing powder.  I cut the sentiment with the Oh My Gourd Wafter Die by SSS.  I cut it out five times and layered the stack for dimension.  I really love the way it turned out.  I didn't add any embellishments.  I like the simplicity of the sentiment.

You Have a Pizza My Heart The Paper Players Challenge PP754

 September 7, 2025

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

I want to welcome Christy Stanford to The Paper Players.  She was a Guest Designer for us and we are thrilled she is joining our team.  She is so creative and I know you will love her inspiration each week.

The AMAZING Ann is our hostess this week and she has a fun Theme Challenge for all of us.  "Food, Glorious Food"!  Now, I really don't know anyone that doesn't love FOOD!  I grew up on a farm in Indiana and our days were based on what we were going to have for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  My Mom and I always discussed it every night before bed.  My Mom was a fabulous cook.  This is the perfect challenge to celebrate her heavenly birthday  (9/9)   This one's for you, Mommy!  Have fun and we can't wait to see your creations!

I will admit, pizza is one of my favorite foods.  I don't or can't eat it often, but when my grands are here, we always splurge and have pizza.  The stamp set is from Sugarpea Designs.  It is called "Pizza of My Heart".  This company is no longer in business, but I loved their stamps and I have a huge collection of their stamps.  This one hasn't been inked in years.  I thought it was perfect for this week's challenge.  I colored him with Copic Markers, layered my papers and paper pieced his pants.  It made me smile when I finished.  This card if for Oliver.  He loves pizza.
