Sweet 16 The Paper Players PP731

March 30, 2025

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The lovely LeAnne is our hostess this week and she has a very fun Tic Tac Toe board for us.  We hope you will join us and choose which way you want to use the board.

I used the top row on the board- flowers, pink and ribbon

This card was created for my Addison's 16th birthday.  We went to her surprise party today.  I am not sure how she could possibly be 16, but she is.

She loves pink so, I started with a pink background.  I cut the beautiful floral pattern with a scalloped die.  The box, the balloons and the tissue paper were cut using matching dsp and the Honey Bee Stamps Celebration Box dies.  I think this set is retired.  I couldn't find it on their site.  For my ribbon, I tried using twine but, it was too big for the card.  I switched to stamped bows and hope that is ok with LeANne.  I cut the word "Sweet" four times and stacked them to add dimension.  The number 16 was placed on the inside.  I forgot to take a picture.  I added a few gold dots to complete the card.

It's time for a new challenge at Sunday Stamps

Look at this gorgeous Color Challenge we have for you!
Make sure you use a minimum of three colors in your creation.  Have fun!

I LOVE this beautiful color combo.  I embossed a Navy background and then used the Spellbinders Fresh Picked Anemones Etched Dies to create these gorgeous flowers.  The sentiment was cut four times and stacked to create more dimension.  It was such an easy card to create with these amazing dies.

Call Me Anytime The Paper Players Challenge PP730

 March 23, 2025

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The AMAZING Ann is our hostess this week and she has a fun sketch challenge for all of us.  Soooooo many possibilities with this one!!!!!  Have fun and get creative!

I love anything retro and this sketch just shouted this phone stamp set that I have in my stash.  It is from Stamps of Life-- Phoneforyou and the matching  Dies were used to create this card.  A fun memory with this pink phone--my aunt had this phone in a bedroom and I always wanted to stay in that room and pretend that phone was mine.  SMILE!  I found this paper in my stash for the background.  I have been going through the thousands of sheets of paper I own---seriously---and wow I own some paper.  I really believe I have an addiction to paper.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.  I added a few black enamel dots and some Wink of Stella on the phone for shine.  I love this sketch and will use it over and over.

You're My Kind Of Peeps Sunday Stamps Challenge SSC356

March 16, 2025

It's time for a new challenge at Sunday Stamps

The amazing Annette has a fun sketch challenge for all of us!  There are so many possibilities for this sketch.  So have fun and get creative!

It's that time of year.  Time for PEEPS!  I used Lawn Fawn plaid paper I found in my stash to create this fun card.  I cut two egg shapes with egg dies from Lawn Fawn and added the little Peeps in yellow and aqua.  The peeps and the sentiment are from a retired SSS peep set.

You're In My Thought The Paper Players Challenge PP729

March 16, 2025

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The amazing JoAnne is our hostess this week and she has a fun Clean and Simple Challenge for all of us.  She wants us to use a single stamped image on our cards.  We can't wait to see what you create.

**Just remember to keep things CLEAN and SIMPLE: minimal layers, lots of clean white space and few embellishments.**

My card is created using a white card base.  I cut another panel with a die that looked tattered for more detail.  I stamped the Sketched Flowers Stamp Set by Simon Says Stamp.  I love this image and have used it many times.  I stamped the flowers in Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder.  I then watercolored the floral spray with metallic watercolors.  I used the gold ink to add splatters to the background.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set and stamped in black.

With Sympathy The Paper Players Challenge PP728

March 9, 2025

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The amazingly talented Jaydee is our hostess this week and she has a beautiful color challenge for all of us!  Pastel Vibes is the theme.  This is so timely with Spring right around the corner.

I added a pink layer of card stock to the front of a white card base.  I cut a scalloped layer of white and embossed it with a textured embossing folder.  The flowers are from MFT Stitched Blooms and all the flowers were cut using scraps of plaid papers from Lawn Fawn.  I added pearls to the centers of the flowers and around the sentiment.
