Peace On Earth--PP275

 It's Sunday and time for The Paper Players  FINAL challenge of 2015!!!  WOW--this year has flown by!  I have enjoyed being a member of this amazing team!  The galleries have been full of GORGEOUS cards and we are so happy that you play along with us each week!  

 A huge thank you to our fabulous Guest Designers!  Amy, Jodi and Lisa, we have loved having you on our team the past six months.  You have shared such stunning projects with us each week and we will miss you!  But, it isn't good bye because we know you will continue to play along with us!  
The lovely LeAnne is our hostess this week!  She has a beautiful color challenge for all of us!  

In light of all that has been going on in our country, I wanted to use this fabulous stamp set by Avery Elle.  What a wonderful wish for all at Christmas time!  Peace on Earth

My card was a quick and easy one this week.  The base is Cherry Cobbler.  The next layer is a Mossy Meadow DSP from a retired Stampin' Up! paper pack.  The banner is cut in Very Vanilla using a die by Lawn Fawn-Stitched Party Banners  I stamped the base of the globe in Momento black ink and the globe in Cherry Cobbler.  The bow is from a sweater weather yarn that is a retired Stampin' Up! product I found in my stash of ribbons.  I few Mossy Meadow enamel dots were added for fun!

WInter Holiday Coffee Lover's Blog Hop--FMS 216--I Like Big Cups

It's a special day for all the Coffee Lover's out there!   It's time for the Winter Holiday Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

I love red, so I decided to use a Real Red background for my card.  I stenciled the front panel using the Simon Says Stamp "Snowfall Mixable Stencil" with white embossing paste.  The coffee cup paper is from American Craft.  I used a Mama Elephant stitched die to cut out this panel.  The tag is from Lawn Fawn, "Tag, You're It." I used the scalloped border punch from Stampin' Up! to cut the black border on the tag. 
 

 The sentiment is heat embossed using black Versa Fine ink and clear embossing powder.  This sentiment is from Taylored Expressions, "A Hug In A Mug" stamp set.  I stamped a polka dot mug from a retired sheet of DSP from Stampin' Up!  I am a polka dot kind of girl, to I had to use this paper.  A few black enamel dots were added for fun and Wink of Stella is added to the steam and black coffee for shine.  The white sweater yarn was found in my stash.  I think it is a retired Stampin' Up! product, too!  All the items are linked below if you are interested!

My card features the SugarPea Designs-Tin Can Chat stamp set.  These little girls make me smile!  They remind me of my childhood.  We would make these can phones and have a ball chatting with each other.  Oh, the simple pleasures of life!  Nothing like today's cell phones!  LOL!  My little friends are colored with Copic Markers.  I added a little Christmas star on their outfits for fun!  Hope you find time to catch up with a special friend during the holidays!
