Happy Valentine's Day The Paper Players Challenge PP771

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

I am the hostess this week and I have a timely "Theme Challenge" for all of you!  With Valentine's Day right around the corner, you can make a Valentine for someone special or you could also make any type of card that focuses on "Love".  Anniversary, Birthday, and Friendship are a few possibilities.  Have fun and get creative!




I found this fun Valentine paper pack and decided to use it to create my non-traditional card.  I cut a scalloped background using the bow paper.  I used the Simon Says Stamp Petal Heart Wafer Die to cut the petals for the flower and leaves.  The Love Sentiment was cut using  Cherry Lynn Dies the Bohemian Words Dies.   I don't think this company is in business now.  I added a black sentiment heat embossed with white embossing powder.  Black enamel dots and a pink hearts were added to complete my card.

    Such a pretty Valentine, Claire! I love the mix of patterns you used, especially the sweet bows on the background paper, and the font style on the "love" die cut is so cool--reminds me of Scooby-Doo : ) Fun and playful.     Gingham and hearts and bows , oh my! What a fun mix of patterns, Claire! I love the retro vibe I get from the "Love" die cut. It's groovy, baby! Any way you look at it, this card is a day brightener and smile-bringer. Thank you for the fun challenge. Have a wonderful week!

    Your card is so fun and for me, definitely a retro feel, like way back in the 60's retro lol! The big flower makes me think of "flower power"! I love the mix of patterns and the font of "love" die. Such a pretty Valentine's card, Claire, I bet it was fun to make.

    Pinks and greens always look so pretty together. I like the dainty patterns on the paper. They put me in mind of the little summer dresses my mother used to make for me way back when. The love die is very funky too. :-)

    I love the fun patchwork feel of your heart-centred flower Claire and the Love die adds a real retro vibe to your card too. So pretty in pinks and greens!
