Got Candy? The Paper Players Challenge PP758

 October 5, 2025

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

I am the hostess this week and I have a very fun Theme Challenge for you!  I love Halloween, so I thought it would be fun to create a card with Halloween costumes.  I love when the Trick or Treaters come to my house and seeing the excitement on a child's face when they can be a character they love for the day is so special!  So have fun and get creative!

Trick or Treating is all about candy and costumes.  I added some fun Halloween paper on top of a black background.  I stamped the Lovely Legs set by Colorado Craft Company on white card stock and colored the image with Copic Markers.  I backed it with a black rectangle.  The sentiment was heat embossed in white on black card stock. I added two green enamel dots to complete the card.

  1. Oh, Claire! This is such a cute card. The image is perfect for your challenge. What can be any more iconic than a superhero, a wee witch, and a ballerina! The candy paper is adorable. I LOVE it. Thank you for the fun challenge. Have a wonderful week!

  2. I loved this theme, Claire! Halloween cards might be my very favorite to make and yours is adorable! I love the superhero pose on the left especially. I think my kiddo is going to be a superhero for Halloween again this year. We found out last year (our first Halloween in Colorado) that our neighborhood is very popular with trick-or-treaters--I had what I thought was a lot of candy to hand out and we ran out after an hour, so I started stockpiling at the beginning of September this year.

  8. Claire, this was such a fun challenge and so unique. I loved it! Oh, I love your card, too. Focusing on the bottom half of the costumes is so unusual, and it's so easy to see what each one of the treaters is supposed to be! That paper is fun, too!
