Have A Wonderful Day--Sparkle & Shine Challenge

 It's time for a new challenge at Sparkle & Shine!

We have a fabulous inspiration photo for you!  You can create in any way you like as long as we can see the inspiration in your design. 



 For this challenge, we are sponsored by the amazing online store Right at Home!  The winner of our challenge with received a $15 gift card to her store!


 My base card is white.  The next layer is Perfect Plum. The top layer is cut with a stitched rectangle die on white card stock.  A stencil is used to create the patterns using a sponge dauber and two distress ink.  The vellum strip is stamped with the sentiment using Versa Mark ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.  The flowers are stamped with Perfect Plum ink and each layer attached with dimensionals.  The stamp set and dies are retired from Stampin' Up!  The set is a favorite of mine that I will always keep it in my stash.  It is called "Secret Garden."  A gold foil flower is punched using a  retired Stampin' Up punch called  Boho Blossoms.  The black circle is punched and a pearl added for sparkle.  Lots of Wink of Stella is applied to each flower layer for shine.

You're Tee-rific--SPDSS49

It's Wednesday and time for a new sketch challenge at SugarPea Designs Challenge Team Sketch!



You have all month to play along with us! You are welcome to play along with all the sketches or just one but remember the more times you play along during the month, the better chance you have of winning a $75 gift certificate to our store!!!


 The rules are very simple…
  • Create a new card or project using the sketch provided.
  • SugarPea Designs stamps are NOT required to play along or to win but would be appreciated :)
  • You may rotate/flip the sketch & replace shapes – so long as the original sketch layout is recognizable.
  • Upload to your blog or other Online Gallery using Keyword: SPDSS49  so that we may check out your beautiful work.
  • Add your name and link to your project in the InLinkz shown below.
  • One randomly selected winner will receive a $25 Gift Certificate to the SugarPea Designs store. However, if the winning entry features a SugarPea Designs stamp we will increase the prize to $75!
  • We will announce our Sweet Picks and our Main Winner at the end of each month.
  • The more times you play along during the month, the better chance you have of winning!



My card is created using polka dot paper cut with the Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle Dies.  The strip of plaid paper was in my stash.  I cut a circle of Neenah Solar white using the Zig Zag Stitched Circle Dies.   I used sponge daubers and distress inks to create the background.  I stamped the little penguin from You're Tee-rific on Neenah Solar White paper and colored him with Copic Markers.  I fussy cut him and adhered him with dimensionals.  I also stamped the cap on the plaid paper and paper pieced it on the penguin.  I stamped the golf ball and sentiment on the circle with black Versa Fine ink and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder.  Two matching banners were added.  Lots of Wink of Stella was added to the penguin for sparkle!  I love the way this card turned out!  He is ready for a day on the links!

The Challenge #68

 It's time for a new challenge at The Challenge!

 We have a beautiful color challenge for you today!  We can't wait to see what you create!  


A few rules to keep things fun and fair!
1. Use the challenge to create a card.
2. Please add the challenge graphic to your blog post (copy and paste).
3. Have fun and comment on the submissions of others.
4. Anything that is offensive to myself or to my viewers will be removed.
5. Please only link to 3 other challenges plus our challenge for a total of 4 challenges.
6. Have fun!



My card is created using the the SugarPea Designs Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles die on the striped background.  The toucan stamp is from Clearly Besotted.  Some Birdie Loves You is such a fun set.  I could just see these tropical birds made from this gorgeous color palette.  I colored them with Copic Markers and cut them out using the matching dies.  I added a strip of hearts behind the white panel for these love birds.  Wink of Stella and a black embossed sentiment made my card sparkle.
