It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.
The lovely LeAnne is our hostess this week and she has a fun sketch challenge for all of us. I love this sketch because you can use your favorite DSP scraps to create a card. Any type of card is possible, so get creative and happy crafting!
I love this sketch because I could look through all my paper pads and find a few patterns to mix and match. The background is a plaid and then I used a two sided paper to create the panels and their background. I needed a thank you note and saw this little girl from SugarPea Designs "Take Note" stamp set sitting in the box shouting use me! I stamped her and colored her with Copic Markers. I paper pieced her dress with the matching DSP. The sentiment is from this set. I added a few yellow enamel dots and some Wink of Stella to her hair for shine to compete the card.

An adorable girl, colored to perfection, sweet little flowers, a peek of plaid, and pink - can a card be any cuter??? What a day brightener this one will be for the lucky recipient, Claire!!! Have a wonderful Memorial Day!
ReplyDeleteLove that sweet little gal, and I especially love all those bright colors in the background! Great take on my sketch!
ReplyDeleteSweet! Happy Memorial Day!
ReplyDeleteClaire, showing off some more of your extensive paper stash, I see lol! And some pretty patterns they are! Love the little girl as well, and how cute she looks with her matching paper pieced dress.
ReplyDeleteI love your paper-pieced sweetie Claire and what a lovely selection of bright and colourful papers too - the perfect layout to showcase them!
ReplyDeleteThe paper pieced dress is just gorgeous. I'm in awe of your willingness to jump in and mix up a lot of patterns: that scares me witless! :-)
ReplyDeleteClaire, I love how you pulled all those papers together and then paper pieced your little sweeties dress in a plain color. So much wonderful pattern and texture.
