Red, White and Blue Through and Through The Paper Players Challenge PP792

June 28, 2026

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The amazing Joanne is our hostess and she has a fun and versatile sketch for all of us.  So many options for this one.  This is a sketch you can use over and over!

My card is created using Cherry Cobbler SU paper for the background.  I added a piece of Americana paper that I found in my stash.  I embossed a white panel with a star embossing folder for the next layer.  I cut a strip of the background paper for the rectangle strip.  The flag is a sticker I found in my ephemera stash.  I didn't realize how different the reds looked until I took the picture, but it's too late to change the paper now.  LOL  The sentiment is from Papertrey Inks.  It is called Land That I Love.  I stamped the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink.  I added a few blue enamel dots to complete my card.

  1. A very nice patriotic card, Claire! I particularly love that starry embossing folder and now I'm wondering if I have any patriotic stuff tucked away in my sticker stash. Hope you have a wonderful week!

  6. Great card for the 4th of July, Claire! The embossing folder works perfectly for this occasion but I could easily see using it for a Christmas card or a masculine birthday card. Great take on the sketch. Have a wonderful time on the 4th!
