Gnome for the Holidays Keeping Christmas

Feb. 25, 2020

It's time for this month's installment of the Keeping Christmas Inspriration Blog Hop!  The Challenge Design Team is sharing Christmas creations on the 25th of each month!

The whole idea is to have some Christmas cards and projects in your stash ready to go for December 2020!

So hop along and be sure to visit each blog.
There is a lot of inspiration and ideas to get your creative juices flowing!

Kelly Lunceford (Creator)

Gnomes are the rage and I am a little late to the party so, I thought I would make two cards for this months challenge.  I made these two cards using the Simon Says Stamp Dec. 2019 kit of the month.  The gnome die was part of the kit.  You can buy it separately at Gnome Wafer Die.

The pattered papers are from Photo Play Christmas Kringle & Co.  I love all the plaids and checks and mixed and matched them on the gnomes hats, jackets and backgrounds.  I used a Copic Marker to color the beard and noses.  I added a sentiment using the Simon Says Stamp Gnome for the Holidays stamp set.  The snow banks are created using the Drifting Dies from The Greetery.  I stamped the sentiment on black paper with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.  Black and white Baker's Twine was added and a white pom pom on their hats.

Thanks for stopping by!  Leave a comment and let me know your thoughts.  I love to hear from you!  Do you have a favorite?

The hop is hosted by the fabulous Kelly Lunceford's blog, so head over there to start from the beginning.

ENJOY the blog hop!  I hope we inspired you to make a few cards, too!

My card is created on a white card base.  I added a green panel on top.  I cut a black panel using the Wonky Stitches Die by Avery Elle.  The focal panel was created on Yupo paper using alcohol inks.  I used purple, black and green inks.  After it dried I cut it with a smaller wonky die.  I cut out the "smile" sentiment in gold foil using the MFT Big Smile dies.  The sentiment was stamped in Versa Mark ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder using the Smile Maker sentiments.  I added a few gold sequins to complete my card.

Look Who's Turning 40 Paper Players PP479

Feb. 23, 2020

It's time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

The amazingly talented LeAnne is our hostess this week.  I just love this fantastic sketch she created for us.  This is so versatile and it will be fun to see all of your creations!

My twins turned 40 a few weeks ago, so I used LeAnne's sketch to make their cards.  I used a wood grained background and used some fun red, white and blue papers from my stash.  The 40 was cut using the Stampin Up Large Number Dies.  The sentiment is from the Stampin Up Number of Years stamp set.  I added two red enamel dots on the corners.
