May Your Days Be Merry & Bright Keeping Christmas

March 25, 2018

I am honored  to be a part of the Keeping Christmas Inspiration Blog Hop.

It's time for this month's installment of Keeping Christmas with The Challenge design team!  We will be sharing Christmas creations on the 25th of each month!!!

The whole idea is to have some Christmas cards and projects in our stash all ready to go for December 2018!

So hop along and be sure to visit each blog.
There is a lot of inspiration and ideas to get your creative juices flowing!

My cards are created on white card bases.  I used the Simon Says Stamps Brilliant Gifts Die to create the packages.  I cut the die twice using gold and silver glitter paper making sure to save all the negative spaces.  I adhered the outline of the gifts on each card base with Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive  and then added in all the negative spaces on both cards alternating the silver and gold pieces of the packages.  This took about 15 minutes.

Using my Misti, I stamped the sentiment from The Ton Holiday Lyrics in black Memento ink.  I added gold stars and rhinestones to complete my cards.  These were so easy to create and I love all the shine and glimmer!  I plan to make a few more for my 2018 Christmas stash!

I sure hope you enjoyed my cards today!  Thanks for stopping by!  Leave a comment and let me know your thoughts.  I love to hear from you!

The hop is hosted by the fabulous Kelly Lunceford's blog, so head over there to start from the beginning.

ENJOY the blog hop!  I hope we inspired you to make a few cards, too!

My card is created on a purple background.  The nest layer is white.  I smooched distress inks with water on a watercolored paper create the next layer.  I used a scalloped die that I found in my stash to trim the smooched panel.  I don't know where this die is from.  Sorry!  I used the Lawn Fawn How You Bean? stamp set to create the jar, jelly beans and sentiment.  The matching dies were used to cut them out.  I colored all of the pieces  with Copic Markers.  Wink of Stella was added for shine.  The bunny is from Simon Says Stamps Showers and Flowers.  I added shading with a Copic Marker and then adhered a pom pom for his tail.

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!!

I am the hostess this week and I have a fun sketch challenge for all of you!  You know I love layers and details, so I am excited to visit all of your blogs and see your creations!

My sweet GRANDdaughter Addison turns nine this week.  I am not sure where the time has gone, but I wanted to create a special card for her day.  She still loves princesses and her favorite colors are pink and yellow.  I created a smooched watercolored panel using distress inks for the background.  I used an old border die in my stash to create the pink and yellow circle border.  I do not know who makes this die.  It may be retired.  A large white circle was cut using the SugarPea Designs Zig Zag circle dies.  I cut two scraps of DSP with the MFT Fishtail flag dies.  White twine was tied around the top part of the card.  The little princess is from Your Next Stamps.  The Little Darling Fairy Godmother was colored with Copic Markers and cut out using the matching dies.  I added a lot of Wink of Stella for shine.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set and heat embossed with white embossing powder.  Enamel dots were added to complete the card.  I also added white gel pen accents on her dress.  I know Miss Addison will love her card.
