Precious Baby DD #89

February 11, 2014

I am so excited the Dynamic Duos chose Pistachio Pudding and Blushing Bride for their colors this week.  We have been anxiously awaiting the birth of our friend's first GRANDbaby.  They didn't find out if it was a girl or boy, so I couldn't make the card in advance.  Well, Little Miss Emma Grace arrived and we are thrilled for all of them  They had two sons, so getting a little girl to love is fabulous!

50th Anniversary PP 182

February 10, 2014

Another gloomy day in Georgia and we are being warned that a snow/ice storm is headed our way.  They have already canceled a lot of schools in Metro Atlanta and it might not even happen.  But, after the last storm, they aren't taking any chances.  This never happened when I was teaching.  Ha Ha!  We used to pray for snow days!

My cousin's 50th wedding anniversary is this weekend, so making a card was on my to do list today.  I really didn't have an idea for the card, so I did a little searching of blog challenges for inspiration. The Paper Players Color Challenge was the perfect choice because they used gold as one of the colors.  These colors were very challenging for me, but I do like the way the card came together.
Let me know your thoughts!  Please leave a comment.  I love to hear from you!

Create! CCMC289

February 9, 2014

Today is a very special day for me.  It is my sons, Joe and John's birthday.  I can not believe they are 34 today.  I am not sure where all the time has gone, but I am so thankful that I was blessed with these two wonderful boys to love and nurture throughout the years.  They are everything to me and I love them, forever!  (Don't you love the 1980's decor!)

Now, on to my card for today.  I wanted to enter the Create With Connie and Mary Challenge.  The sketch was was interesting to me.  There were so many possibilities-----  I bought the Etcetera Designer Series Paper because I loved the colors in the pack.  I have never seen a card made with the Night of Navy clothing pattern paper.  Although I don't sew, my Mom did and she made all my clothing growing up.  I thought this paper was perfect for this card.  I hope you agree!
