Biking Birthday rs# 83

October 2, 2013

I am in the "guy" birthday card mode today. My favorite and only brother's birthday is this week. He is an avid bike rider, so I pulled out the Birthday Basics Designer Series Paper to make his card.

The Retro sketch challenge worked well for this masculine card.

Happy Birthday and PP #165 and NAC#57

October 2, 2013

I started out the day in a terrible way. My computer had to be taken in yesterday to remove viruses and I couldn't check all my blogs, etc with my coffee.  My husband asked me to make a card for his General Manager's birthday. Of course, he needed it by tomorrow!!!  I had an idea for a card and when I started making it my Big Shot broke!!!!!!!  It was a sad moment for me. ;((((  I CANT function without it. The handle broke off and my plates are now stuck in it!!!!!  I cried and then ran to order a new one from Stampin, Up!  (Of course I will pay over night delivery!!!!!! ).  I can not make cards without it!  I am the embossing queen!!!!!!  Well, then I called my dear friend, and she said I could borrow hers. Life is good------ thank you, Sharon!!!!!!!

I am entering this card in the The Paper Players challenge and the Nacho Average sketch challenge. I love the bingo board for a birthday card. I used the ribbon, patterned paper and birthday row on the Bingo card.

Fabulous Is What You Are! Dynamic Duos

October 1, 2013

I was able to go play tennis and work in my craft room on this beautiful day!  The skies are blue and there is no humidity.  It has been a perfect day all the way around!

I am submitting this entry to Dynamic Duos.  I was so honored to be chosen in the honorable mention group last week. A huge thank you to Janet Z. For choosing my card!
These  two colors are totally out of my comfort zone!  I am definitely a BRIGHTS kind of girl. I like pink, but Melon Mambo is my shade of pink. I thought and thought about what to do. I have a dear friend going through chemo for breast cancer, so I immediately thought of sending her the pink card. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, too!  I decided since this was a real challenge, I would pull out a stamp set that I have only used once.  Delicate Doilies is such a pretty stamp set, but I never see it on many blogs or card challenge entries. So, here is my attempt at Primrose Petals and Blushing Bride.

Stampin' Up! Products:

Paper:  Primrose Petals, Blushing  Bride, Whisper White

Ink:  Primrose Petals

Remember to get your mammogram each year!
